anybody on here have 22 inch rims?

22s was just an idea but now that i have the sentas and i love them....why not two ls's with sentas if i can find sum more....

Yes, they are gorgeous wheels. keep em.

Leave the 22's in the ghetto.

22's

Yeah just what you need to do,,take an ugly car and put 22's on it and make it uglier. I swear,,these days,,a guy could dry some dog turds,,put one thru your nose and wear them "out" and "about" AND EVERY ONE OF THE 95 percenters would want one. You know what a 95 percenter is,,they're the ones that follow the 5 percenters around,,copying what they do. ha ha

ugly car?, i believe he was talkin about his ls, which is not an ugly car

no disrespect... that looks horrible

if I saw that LS on the road I would more than likely pass it, look directly at the driver... then shake my head and laugh

I do it to most cars that "ride dirty"

people don't realize the stress big wheels like that put on the car... both engine stress AND driveline components, nevermind the MPG issue

EDIT: just read the replies

sweet and jealous are correct... I've seen a Donk at the dragstrip try to launch on the stock stall and before the tree started falling even the track announcer said "heh, this guy is going to break his axle"

low and behold.... a 180BHP car taking off on it's stock stall with 24" rims broke it's axle

the amount of stress huge wheels add to a car is fairly substantial, not only does the engine have to work harder to get the car moving with the large increase in unsprung weight but EVERYTHING as far as the driveline and suspension will suffer about 3 times harder over time than the stock 17"/18"

you have to think about what the car was designed for, and then factor in your mods... if you put a 300 shot on a LS1, odds are you will see something fly out of your hood... if you put a 4,000lbs system in the back of your 4.3L jimmy, odds are your suspension is going to wear out in 5 days and you will ground out over every bump

same aspect applies to much larger rims on a mid sized luxury sport with a weak transmission and a small engine that relies on high RPM's to make most of it's power

If you want 22's then get them, start doing what you like, if these people are contributing to the upkeep of your LS they may have ground to stand on, but they don't, so just do you. Thats whats wrong with the world today, we always worry about whats on the next person's wagon. I personally think 22's are too big, but if thats what you want, then do it.

thank you, it only makes sense, and if you learn from experience, the bigger the rim, the more trouble your gonna have,
