Right here ;)
Santa gave a whole bunch of cameras to the local law..now they have so many cameras they are cracking down on front plates.....it's just so butt ugly wrong....might as well make scanners at intersections and upc code/registration stickers (thought of this when I was a kid in a blizzard), least my Mark wouldn't have to be all uglied up.

I was wondering if there was anything (invention for plates) that comes up from under the front end..? a girl can dream...

Smooches,
MsM8

i read hideaway plates and i thought of james bond, u gonna rob a bank debi? yup front plates suck you aint gotta tell me about if

You can put a tinted cover on the front plate Debi, I have a blue on on the LS and a black one on my Stang. It doesn't do away with it completely but it helps tone that big red white and blue hunk of sh!t down a little bit and keep you legal.

The back you are not supposed to tint because it can be seen as an attempt to alter the color of the registration sticker.

We have photo radar all over the place. lol, the law forgot the law out here. True story, the arresting offiicer must sign the ticket. Scottsdale AZ. had put big dollars into a rather impressive system. Until...John Q Public, took them to court, lol. No more photo radar on the freeway.

the photoblocker spray mite be a can of hair spray.... I don't think it works .

there's flip down mechanisms that people use for cars and motorcycles, there's also a cover that looks clear if you look at it dead on, but from any other angle it distorts the image so that they can't take a photo of it. I'll have to see if I can find some links in my spare time, trying to catch up at work :(

Where there is a will there is a way around the law... those dirty bastards.

I have a thought..

Any of you seen that movie "The Transporter"?
Here's a pic of the cover of the Transporter 2 movie:

Well anyways, if any of you've seen this, he has the ability to flip a switch and his read license plates rotates from one plate to another..

How freakin sweet would that be if you could flip from your license plate to a color matched plate.. as if your plate was never there...

aaah.. sweet.. thanks jibit..

But I was thinking more along the line that it actually flips 180 degrees.. so that you don't have (like the foxplate one which would be more viable for a car) you licence plate extended facing down. But hey... it still awesome that it actualy does exist at lease in one way..

NP ;)

I've ran across those as well, mainly have to look at custom hot rod stuff or sites for imports.

Leave your front plate off and try to use one of the tinted covers on the rear plate so the cameras dont get the plate.

LOL!!!!!!

Foxplate also keeps your license plate clean for those speed, toll and red light cameras.

We can not be held liable for illegal use of this product. Please use Foxplate in a responsible manner. Be sure to check your local laws and drive safely.

I'm sure that if you can't buy one, you can get someone to make something like what you want, and if you do, i need a few, i'm back on the ground and need something to keep the bears off me too.

i figure i got enough probs with THE MAN, that they would hit me with obstruction of justice (and thats a pretty big no-no)

In Davenport, Iowa they now have red light cameras and speed cameras at many stop lights. From what I have been told some people found some wording in the state laws that makes such things illegal so for now noone can receive tickets from these cameras anymore. Good thing for me as I was going a little fast through one of these intersections while I was back home for the holidays. My radar detector didn't go off until after the intersection.

lolol, You guys are too much!

I love it Nick!, exactly what I want! 180 that would flip to a piece of my front end!

Good idea with Foxplate, lolol yeah I read that too Chickie ;) the 2nd one might provide a light show at 100mph..sits on the underside a bit low. Jibit is prolly right, shell out some duckets at a custom shop, thanks for the urls Hotties ;).

For a change, I was not trying to avoid the man, I'm like Chickie they will get me for one thing or another. However, the contractual agreements between the Country and the camera makers in regards to revenue from the "pic n tic" method has me questioning the law being able to use the cameras legally. The makers of the camera's manufacturer gets a cut of all tickets given from their camera's in Franklin Co. - that's bs, but I gotta find out more to get the whole story. I have read that Dayton and Cinciny are raping drivers with speeding pic n tics.

I really just dont want to mess up my lines. Great conversation Hotties and thanks for all the ideas ;)

Here is what the law reads here:
The Front and Rear license plates must be displayed and the Law that covers this is in the Ohio Revised Code, Section 4503.21: 4503.21. Display of license plates and validation stickers or temporary placard or windshield sticker. (A) No person who is the owner or operator of a motor vehicle shall fail to display in plain view on the front and rear of the motor vehicle the distinctive number and registration mark, including any county identification sticker and any validation sticker issued under sections 4503.19 and 4503.191 of the Revised Code, furnished by the director of public safety, except that a manufacturer of motor vehicles or dealer therein, the holder of an in transit permit, and the owner or operator of a motorcycle, motorized bicycle, manufactured home, mobile home, trailer, or semitrailer shall display on the rear only. A motor vehicle that is issued two license plates shall display the validation sticker only on the rear license plate, except that a commercial tractor that does not receive an apportioned license plate under the international registration plan shall display the validation sticker on the front of the commercial tractor. An apportioned vehicle receiving an apportioned license plate under the international registration plan shall display the license plate only on the front of a commercial tractor and on the rear of all other vehicles. All license plates shall be securely fastened so as not to swing, and shall not be covered by any material that obstructs their visibility. No person to whom a temporary license placard or windshield sticker has been issued for the use of a motor vehicle under section 4503.182 of the Revised Code, and no operator of that motor vehicle, shall fail to display the temporary license placard in plain view from the rear of the vehicle either in the rear window or on an external rear surface of the motor vehicle, or fail to display the windshield sticker in plain view on the rear window of the motor vehicle. No temporary license placard or windshield sticker shall be covered by any material that obstructs its visibility. (B) Whoever violates this section is guilty of a minor misdemeanor.

Thank you for using the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles F.A.Q. System.

I guess I just need someone to define "front"...I know I know...lolo

There has to be a better way!!

SMOOCHES HOTTIES!

MsM8tress, do you know when and where you'd like to flip the plates??

Like through toll boths? or what? Out driving, they're just gonna get you w/ a radar detector bouncin off the car...

The only reason for this would be for toll booths (not that I would do such a thing *wink *wink )or some car show..

Hi NLS, like I said & like you, da man dicks ya when da man dicks ya (your error [been there] or not [been there 2]), I accepted that a few grand ago.

I just want it for driving, when I park, show, or drive in a state that does not require them - FLIP TIME! stupid plates and holder are so stinkin butt ugly, then stupid OH changed their motto from "Heart of It All" to some suckie Wright bros plane plate, they suck - puke.

I must say again, the fine fees received from the pic tics, that WE pay AS CITIZENS should not be going to private companies as revenue (not only is it not right, it is illegal for ANY governing official agency

Also, I want to start takin random pics of cops in cruisers, hey, if we are supposed to be held to the standard of "Doing right even when big bro aint looking" (until you get the pictic in the mail) so should they. A cop here let her brother off two weeks ago, last week he killed his wife and himself. Good bad ugly is everywhere - put the cameras everywhere.

We know the consequences of our actions.(we are not assininely running lights thru town or blasting thru stop signs), and should have the right to defend ourselves at the time the alleged violation is being presented.

Dang...that was exhusting...I get too emotional...lolol
