Just wondering if anyone has dealt with the 6x9 or (subs) on 2005 LS One of my channels on the amp seems to be out... My left speaker works great while my right dont move at all.. but there is a faint static going though it. I tested the speaker and it works normal. So just wondering could it be one of my channel went out on the amp and it needs replaced??

Also im looking to put my subs into my Lincoln, but i would like to keep the stock deck and put a input converter on it, like i had on my other car. Now ive been told I can hook from behind the radio.. Or Can hook from the amp in the back? Just wondering what anyone recommends?

Also glad to be a part of the community.. Got my Lincoln in December. Thanks for letting me in! :D

I have an 02 and I recently just did this. I took RCA's and tapped directly into the rear factory "subs" inputs and connected to my amplifer. My amp also has a remote sensing turnon so that I didn't have to find a remote source. Add Power, Ground and works great!

I can't add about your buzzing speaker problem. I would check connections, disconnect that speaker look for tonal changes, then take a voltmeter to the connection while disconnect to the speaker and check to see your getting input. Of course when you add your subs, it's not like your going to notice/hear it anyway.. So weights and measures.

Lol very true about hearing.... but if im going to tap into them... i do want the sound from it though lol.. I checked everything possible, only thing i can narrow down to is the right channel went bad on the amp... Now my amp dont have the remote turn on. Do you know what wire it is that turns on the amp??

I saw somewhere on here the wiring diagram for the rear amp, and I believe the factory unit has a something that could be used for as a remote lead.
