Just got this thing and man was it fun! Very nice flier and very fast. I have only flown 6 packs through it and really got the hang of her.... kinda. :lol:
Can do nice clean loops and barrel rolls and split-s turns just beautifully.
Well I got a littlel oversealous and did a steep dive at WOT and a low pass over my head. Was around 50 MPH when it slammed into the tall fence post I forgot about. :(
Totally destroyed. :mad: Just ordered a whole new fuse and parts. So who wants to come by and watch me wreck.... er fly the new one? :lol:
 
Got to love the cheap planes!!! I would love to get back into the R/C world again......so many thousands of dollars spent there!!!!
 
there is a pretty big rc plane airport a few miles from my house, i went out there one morning to watch them fly, mostly older guys, interesting to watch

Yeah it was a bummer. I just fixed it from crashing into a tree which I had to cut down. :lol:
It was just glued together from that but this dammage is far too severe. It was an expensive lesson. I learned I will be perfectly happy flying at an altitude which I can recover in wrather then buzzing the cows.

Yesterday I was chasing hawks with it. :lol:
 
man i hate rc planes, before i got my car and moved i lived out in the boonies and some guy with like 12 acres of land lived beside me and he just had to fly his rc helicopter on the border of our lands and right when im about to bike to my friends house i get a helicopter rammed into the spokes of my new bike =[ he tried to get my dad to pay for the helicopter claiming i ran over it.. father told him to eff off and two days later hit the guys dog(IT DIED) lol good times

I would have beat the kid with the broken helicopter! :)
 
Those rc planes can really get pricey, I've seen a couple that were valued over 10 grand.... I'll stick with my $200 heli
 
I was gonna by that corsair when the first brought them out. It was between that and a P-51. They demo'd that plane and it was impressive...some guys flew them in formation. Yes im into the R/C thing too. I have a duratrax truck,and a blade CX-2 heli. Im looking at gettin a jet next. All fun to play with,but they get expensive when they are wrecked,lol.
 
I have the Blade CX2 as well, with Cnc shaft, mine needs new motors and im getting the Airwolf body kit for it
 
I saw the words RC plane and lazer.... knew i was gonna see some kinda carnage lol..
 
Laser, you still have the chopper for sale? I am interested in it. Send me a pm with more info if you still got it.
 
I am addicted to these things now. I have to Blade mSR's (sub micro heli), Axe CX Micro (micro Co-ax heli), Blade SR (3-D CP Heli), Micro J-3 Cub and the Corsair. Fly them all as often as possiable. The mSR gets flown for an hour every day and the SR gets flown almost every day. I like the F4U though cause it flies so nice and is very quick. I am thinking about the 800w power plant upgrade that gives it 4x the power. :D

I can prolly have it back together this weekend but there is so much I have to do with my car and Sapperfires car I prolly wont have time. :(


And yes, my 450 heli sold almost instantly.
 
Well I went and got stupid. I needed one servo link for the F4U and stopped by the LHS. He showed me some pics of the P-51s they were running this last weekend and then offered to throw in a servo for the rudder and I ended up with "Gunfighter"

I need help. :(

Well I really like it! Got home and put it together and checked all the flight surfaces and then hand launched it. Was a handfull to controll and didnt perform well unless near WOT. Depressed I landed it and looked it over. Turns out I neglected to hook the elevator link up correctly and it wasnt in any of the holes. LOL!
So I fixed that and flew it for 8 minutes untill I figured the stock battery had enough. Did many loops and barrel rolls and split S's.

Its different from the Corsair. The Corsair is easier to fly but the Mustang is really aerobatic and responsive. After reading how fast it is I was a bit suprised to run it close to WOT most of the flight. I really enjoyed flying it though and cant wait for tomorrow and try the larger batteries. Still have the stock one on the charger and after 30 minutes its at 12.28V. I only brought it down to 3.78v per cell so it should be ok. So far its taken 636mah.
 
Let's see how long it takes him to upgrade the motor.......
 
I think after the Corsair is back together I will upgrade the Mustangs motor. I want it to do around 80 MPH and I will be happy.... for a little bit. :p
 
Im such a big kid. I just hung the plane in my room. :lol:
