Are we better off?

Ad watch: Television ad claims Murray weak on terror

By Jim Brunner
Seattle Times staff reporter

In the sharpest attack of his campaign, Republican U.S. Senate candidate George Nethercutt launched a television ad yesterday using video of Democratic incumbent Sen. Patty Murray's controversial comments about Osama bin Laden to portray her as weak on terrorism.

To keep going with the automotive theme, this one has you stuck in the right hand ditch with 2 flat tires. First, it took every bit of effort I had to keep reading this post once I seen George Nethercutt’s name. He may be living somewhere around Louisville under an assumed name. Just kidding, No one around here has given him a second thought since the day after that election.
Second, one of the many points MonsterMark brought up as to why he felt we were better off was the safe ports bill that Patty Murray (a left wing nut job in the eyes of a number of you on this site) introduced and has been trying to get passed for years. This bill was partisan politics at its best and with all the complaining around here about “if this was a democrat” well here you go. If this was a republican bill how long do you think it would have taken to pass? It’s the only hanging curve ball over you two have left over the plate so I had to hit it.
Thank you for using that ad. My investment in a Media Center computer as well as Tivo has been money well spent. Unless it’s during a football game, I have not had to watch a commercial in months. I really miss the political campaign ones.
I do have a few questions about an earlier post you put on this thread but I’m out of time. Somehow I think I’ll be able to find you here again in a day or two. I’m starting to enjoy this give and take. I may have to rethink my retirement from this board after this thread.

Thanks again
