My 01 LSv6 is not overheating its just leaking ATF from the top of the reservoir that feeds the hydraulic fan pump. It does that basically anytime the engine is running. It's like the AFT is backing up and overflowing. I also refilled the reservoir 2 days ago and didn't drive it and when I looked at it today the ATF was all over my garage floor and the reservoir was empty. At first I thought it may be the hydraulic pump but could it be a seal or hose. Any ideas?

It is probably a small leak on the suction side of the system. Air gets sucked in and the bubbles cause the fluid to foam. Foam takes up much more room than liquid, so it overflows out of the reservoir.

Thanks, it is foaming up. Now I'm just a novice at this and most of my knowledge comes from reading the posts. This may sound crazy but Im not too familiar with the hydraulic pump / fan set up. The suction side would be??? In other words where should I look?

From my reading, I've learned the hydraulic fan system is more trouble than it's worth and most kill off that fan and replace it with electric. As for where to look, it's an issue I've not had.
