i received one of these "performance chips" as a gift yesterday. its from autochipsdirect.com and is a powerbox. supposed to increase fuel milage and horsepower, etc. im kind of skeptical on installing it cause everything if seen about various performance chips is negative. this connects to the maf sensor and i wondered if anyone else had tried this brand or if someone could tell me if ill have any major problems installing this. thanks.
 
It's 100% pure BS. It just changes the air temperature reading.
 
lets look at it this way, if those really worked, then nobody would buy anything from SCT
 
I just changed my Flux Capacitor core and it added 47 1/2 horsepower to the rear wheels...I'm just sayin....

I removed my coils and installed 8 flux capacitors in place with reverse polarity. I also replaced all the muffler bearings and regreased them with crisco.

I can go faster than 88mph if I dont run on my LS on Lybian plutonium, premium gas reduces the ammount of flux it can capacitate. On premium, time travel isnt possible till I hit 140mph...duh

You should post a write up so the other members know the Flux Capacitor trick too. Could you imagine if we had 20 or 30 LS's running on plutonium powered Flux Capacitors traveling thru time?
 
These things are such a joke. I wouldn't put one of those on my daughter's Power Wheels. But I did manage to install a Tesla coil, and am fully running all of my ignition system, and electronics off of it. I also power my home when the car is garaged.:shifty:
 
lol i had them file a return. the parents meant well but i didnt think it would work like it should. i just didnt wanna harm anything on my vehicle from this.

so if the plugs run the same impedance you can wirelessly power them. I do think it would be cool if the road ways where built with Tesla coils and cars had matching ones to power the batteries so that you wouldn't have to charge the batteries in electric cars as you drove them the coil would just power it.

Really this would only be on highways

Okay so problem with this theory,

1) would cost way more than the government would ever pay (no matter the national debt)
2) not sure how much power would be needed power all the cars that would drive on it
3) the effects of making the watts of electricity would out way the benefits of the elect cars by far

So lets stick to oil and perhaps in the near future natural gas as you can fill your car at home and its pennies for a gallon equivalent

Wireless power transmission of useful amounts (ie, more than to light a fluorescent bulb) is actually quite fascinating. Some things can be done with microwave, but still relatively low power. For real use, the current state is lasers. Lots of money was poured into testing that. The thought was to fly lots of solar panels in geosync and beam down the energy.
The only problem is that if the aim drifts, you burn a hole in the ground. A big hole.

Sadly, physics is not on your side.

DUDE..... YOU are the government. The governments only source of income to pay for things is TAXES!!!! So many people think the government is this benign entity that has an unlimited flow of cash. The only cash they have is what they CONFISCATE from the hard working citizenry! Funny, I, who pay loads in taxes didn't get that $300 check a year or so ago. My kid, who ends up paying nothing, got one. Go figure......

obviously, thats what I am saying though the government will not fund this project no matter what kind of money it had from what ever source IE us

That's not the only problem. Weather is also a major problem for a system like that.

Even government employees get screwed over. Its happened to me as military and now as a civillian.

No because the government is in bed with big oil. Nowadays to get 40mpg you need to buy a hybrid. Lots of cars from the 70's through the 90's were able to achieve that before on regular gas. And they didnt cost $40K either. What happened?

And why don't we have more passenger diesel sedans or coupes?? If you want a diesel you have to get a huge pickup which defeats the purpose of getting more mpg.

Or you can get a Volkswagen. I know for a fact diesel American vehicles exist...for example Chrysler has diesel 300's in Europe.

its ridiculous but they still require american automakers to have an average MPG across their line of cars
