Anyone know the part# for the Aux Coolant Pump for a '01 LSV8?

Heat crapped out and its about to get cold in MI.

Thx

I have a spare one that I was about to put in new brushes then offer for sale. Want it?

Make sure you're getting power to the pump. I've had problems with the DATC not turning it on. And, of course, double check that there's not an air lock in the cooling system. If you get heat while driving, but it goes cold when sitting at a light, then it's the aux pump. If it's cold all the time, then it's something else.

Well ****, it must be something else then. I have no heat at any time. All 3 hoses are cold coming from the firewall. It worked, then one day it just stopped.

The two most reasonable possibilities are:

1. Air in the cooling system due to a leak in one or more plastic parts. Try bleeding at the heater bleed (climate control on 90, engine warmed up and running, rev engine to 2K rpm). If you get air out and/or the heat works briefly afterward, you need to fix the cooling system.

2. DCCV valves stuck closed.

Less reasonable possibilies:

1. clogged heater cores
2. stuck bypass door
3. bad DATC or DATC sensor (unplug the DCCV, if still no heat, then this isn't the problem)
4. plugs inserted in heater hoses
5. clogged screen in upper radiator hose
6. clogged aux pump
7. failed water pump
8. Open thermostat
9. No coolant
10. ...

Ok, I bled the system, as soon as i opened the valve fluid started streaming out without a break in the stream so I doubt there was any air in the system.

On to the DCCV.

I will note that when i have the auto climate set to 90 it fogs my windows up. Now sure if that is a symptom of something.

Fogs most of the windshield and some/most of the other windows = probable heater core leak.

Fogs (or really frosts) the lower part of the windshield = normal due to small leak of cold air through defrost vents.

What was the answer? I have the same issue. No hot air, period. And steady stream from heater bleeder thing.
