I have my Avic F90bt for sale. It has the most current software update but not the latest map update. I did do the first map update that came out. If interested pm me.

so to update the navi is there any other way other than going through ford?

Navi as in your OEM navigation? Stock navigation units are based off NAVTEQ disks. You could purchase one from your dealer or direct from NAVTEQ but either way its going to be around $200.

If you wanted to be crafty and have a DL DVD-R drive there are some disks floating around the net. I couldn't tell you if they work or not though

Update

Here's some pics of the new Avic. I love this unit a lot. It has the same platform as the Z110. I also did the bypass.

That looks great!

You can change the colors of the buttons on those right? I see you have them on green like the rest of the interior. Very cool

That looks really good. It's sleek and goes with the interior. If I didn't have a stock one, iI'd pick one of those up today. I dont like how most look aftermarket and somewhat out of place, but thats fits in real good.

the best part about that unit is that it doesn't have a moving face like the Z's do

Yea that's what I like about it. They got rid of the knob and made it sleek looking. It goes with the interior better.

Yea you can change the color to match the rest of your interior.

I wish you could order the unit with colored bezel so it was silver like the Gen 2's instead of black. Looks great though LeaSr

ive been thinking about painting mine for my f900, but i think that it would make it look too cheap, i kinda dig the glossy black

How much you want for it? I've already got one of those in my LS, but am thinking about putting an aftermarket in our 2005 Freestar. I'll have to figure out if I can get the OEM DVD entertainment system to work with the Avic or not, though.

Very good install. Just out of curiosity, where did you put your bluetooth microphone?

Not to hijack the thread, but does anyone know if we can load backgrounds onto the "splash screen" from our thumbdrive onto the x920BT?

B. Does the "splash screen" have to be saved to a specific format or in a folder for it to load off of the SD cards? Mine is not reading the pics but does read the music.

The microphone is above the steering. So as I'm sitting in the car talking, it's right in front of me. The pics has to be in a folder named pics on the sd card. That's about it, you can't mod this unit like the F series.
