Been wanting to make it lay out on the 22's and I came across a deal on almost complete kit with two strut bags, two air cylinders , tank ,comp, lines, valves, switchbox ect. I'm not a noob at this and prepared to fabricate/cut/weld so
Shouldn't be that bad. Just wondered if anyone else here had done it and any bugs
they had to work out. We all know
The LS isn't your typical car when doing anything so any help or opinions are appreciated thanks....

I hope you have felt how cars ride on bags. I haven't so I dont know from experience, but I did meet someone with a bagged ls. I bought a grille from him and when I picked it up I saw his ls had 22's. I asked him how the ride was with bags, his exact words," The worst thing I could've ever done to my ls, rides like $hit". It's cool if it's your thing it might not be a pleasant ride.

Honestly my LS rides like ass on 19s IMO... Losing so much Stock tire is a huge difference in ride quality. I can't imagine how the people with 20s and up feel.

I sometimes miss the stock tires, but once I step foot out of the car and I am staring @ her walking away, it is all worth it.

yeah I'm fully aware of how they ride, I've had a bagged s10 and impala ss. It's really not bad if you get the good airlift bags and play around with the air pressure. Still on the fence as to bag the LS or buy some extra stuff and do my s10 x cab tho.

My 20's ride fine, except for that one bent rim. I like my 20s over stock mainly bcuz I can corner now (my stocks have 225/60/16 aka grandaddy feelin). But I also have to avoid eeeeevvvvvveeeerrrrryyyy little sewer (even the flat ones) and bump in the road, which makes my drive more exciting lol

Yea I feel like Jeff Gordon, dodging potholes and bumps and other annoying things in the road. When as before with stock, you can pretty much cruise on through and not care about what you hit.

Yea, and now when I do have the stocks on, I still avoid everything bcuz I'm jus used to it now lol. then ill have that car behind me who tries to follow my moves, then they must jus say to themselves "he's jus swervin to swerve", and then when I really do swerve to avoid somethin serious, they hit it dead on.

22's Biatch! I have stock 17's and I still go on like I have 20's lol Saves having major suspension problems down the road. I so want to lower my car 1st before I get rims. I heard that if you get 20's you can't go really that fast?? Why is that ?

cause they're ugly your car has to look good to go fast right lol.

Was Really looking for someone else on bags to chime in on their experience. but I've been looking on the site and have yet to find anyone.

i know you aren't really getting and help on the topic, and i can't add to it since i have limited knowledge and seems you would know the things i do since you've had bagged vehicles prior. my only advise to you is do what YOU like on your LS. people are here call it hatting or what-not but it's just a difference in tastes and them not being able to express that properly. no one goes up to you while you are working on your lawn and tells you, "hey, you really shouldn't add that plant there, it doesn't look good". your car, your decisions, simple as that. the reason none chime in is because there aren't any bagged LS' here. again, if i could help i would...good luck and let us know what you decide.

yeah man nobody is into bags on this site. i used to be a minitrucker before i got the LS but i spent to much on mine to cut it up. if you do bag it be sure to post pictures id like to see a build thread on it at least. the only bagged ls i have seen was a hacked up spray painted white one. got any pictures of youre other rides?

There is a guy on here who relocated his strut mounts to loser the car with stock ride still. Was very nice work, but awfully low. Gotta be a pita to drive.

yea im still questioning parts about that job, like if he just raised the top mounting points of the shocks, thus giving him the "stock ride quality" but the slammed look. then he would still have the same amount of suspension travel as a stock LS but 1/4 of the distance for the car to travel before the body hits the ground. i just dont under stand how it would be possible for that car to not slam into the ground everywhere it went, that fukcer only had about an inch or two clearance.

go for it dude, true slammed cars always look sweet, and if your alright having your car be a cruiser instead of a hard driver then thats all that matters. it just suck that there are no bolt in air shock kits for our application (but we're all pretty much used to that by now) just make sure that you do it right, i have seen some pretty rough hack and slash jobs, and you dont want to be going down the highway and the wheel just fall off because the suspension wasn't right!

good luck!

take alook there.

there was another thread of a guy in barrie ontario canada with it bagged but i cant find the thread. but take it from a guy who has a bagged lincoln we know how its going to ride. and yes it looks sexy enough to leave the wife for...but you know how much your going to hate yourself. your going to start taking your beater everywhere because its such a pain to drive with it. BELIEVE ME iv thought about doing it because a lowered ls there is nothing sexyer...and if you go air struts you most likley wont be able to lay flat. you will get a low low look but not flat on its belly. your best bet it to contact a local airride shop and see what his opinion is, and get him to make you some brackets if you want to install yourself.
