I bought the Moog. Personally, I would stay away from the off-brand (Deeza). Fow what it's worth, my Moog joints did NOT include the Zerk fitting.

$145?! Oww. Can't do that much yet. I still have to do the coolant tank too lol.

I'm jumping in! So is everyone that is replacing their ball joints doing just that and having them pressed into the existing place or buying the whole lower control arms?

im doin just ball joint. its not the lower control arm, ls' r steering knuckle. and replacing those is like 800+

jus ordered the ball joints, $88 total. unfortunately they r deeza (money is kinda tight and i am now paranoid about my ball joints. been seein too many cars on side of the road with a wheel all tucked up in the fender or swung way out, and saw an LS on i95 wit a broken ball joint on side of the highway, and it was black so it was like lookin in the future cuz i been pressin my luck ridin on bad bj's for over 20k miles)

This is what some of my parts are looking like.

Right now I'm on a bb so the pic quality on this phone is poor, but is that cracking on the bj's? My driver side upper ball joint boot is cracking but hasn't failed yet (hoping it won't for a while)

The upper boot on my daughter's 2000 looks like that. I just bought some GOOP and used that to "repair" the boot. I cleaned the area very well with brake cleaner and squirted that stuff around the boot. Let set 24 hours and you should be good to go.

The lower ball joint was, as I suspect yours is, toast. When I raised the front end I could move the tire/wheel up/down about 1/4".

Yea I can move mine a good amount. Its been like that since I bought the car @ 74k. It now has 96720 or so. And the paranoia is killin me lol

Deeza (rockauto.com) - Crap

Dear LowLS,

We apologize that you had problems with the Deeza ball joint you ordered and we are sorry to hear your comment about our products.

All Deeza parts come with our warranty, 2 year/40,000 miles. We have not received any claims from you on the part you purchased yet. However, if you can let us know where you purchased the product, your order number, name, delivery address and part number you received; we would be more than happy to arrange a pick-up for the part from you and refund you fully on your part and shipping costs. This would also give us the opportunity to review the part and understand the reason why it was not up to your satisfaction.

I also read your post saying "they are not the same sizes when bought." and I need to comment on that. The part number LN-G603 is 14mm ball joint and it is dimensionally exactly same with the OE ball joint. There should not be any problems about that as we reverse-engineer the products through the OEM specifications and dimensions and we have sold thousands of this ball joint without any problems in the last 6 months.

If you are looking for the 16mm ball joint for Lincoln LS', you need to order Deeza Part# LN-G604.

You can reach me at my email: koray.kuru @ deezachassis.com or call toll free 877-336-2595.

Thank you.
