I hope someone here can tell me what the hell is going on. About maybe twice a tank of gas I get a beeping that sounds like the "low fuel" beeping noise but nothing shows up on the display and it doesn't matter how much gas is in the tank. I've had it to O.C. Welch twice now and they can't find anything wrong with it. They say it has to be happening at the time they scan it for it to show up. Any ideas what it could be and how to fix it? I want to get it fixed before my warranty is up.

Thanks CELO for pointing me in that direction. I didn't realize it was such a common problem. I guess as long as it isn't something broken or in the process of breaking I can live with it. What the hell, I still love this car.

No problem anytime glad I could help!!

Yeah I'm just glad that it's not just mine doing it. Now if I could just get some new tires that didn't cost a small fortune.

Yeah my 2004 V6 has done it about 2 or 3 times. The one common thing though is that has always been when I am coming to a stop at a stop sign or light. Probably more coincidence than anything. But hey, I'm willing to live with it.

I usually get the beep when I make an unreasonably fast, sidewall scrubbing turn. I figure it's just complaining.

Its funny you mention twice a tank, because I can bet money on after a full tank in my car, at 3/4 tank it'll beep, at 1/2 it'll beep, then again at low fuel below a 1/4 tank and show the low fuel level message then.

Just like when you see your gas gauge at about the low fuel level and you expect the beep is "exactly" when i can expect my other 2 beeps at 3/4 and 1/2 tank. I always thought this was just a reminder of some sort.

Gotta love the Phantom Beep! Don't even try to get it fixed. It seems to be some sort of communication error between the transmission and something else. But no one knows for sure and no one knows how to fix it.
