I am experiencing misfire but not until 3000 rpm which leads me to believe it may not be a coil issue.00 v8. Also doesn't really throttle up past that point due to rough running. Any ideas before I replace coils? Thanks
The LS has a rev limiter when in Park or Neutral. You will not be able to get past 3000 RPM's without it cutting out. It's designed that way so that you won't blow up your motor.
It had started on Friday. Sitting at red light I felt small hesitation and started misfiring while driving. So Sat morning I go through the coils and still seem to have a miss at a lower idle. Well after talking to some Ford/Lincoln techs I went back through the connections regarding the fuel delivery system. Recalling that I had valve cvr gaskets replaced BUT I didn't do it. Took it out this morning for a freeway run and seems to be fine. Thanks for your response Ken and BTW after installing the induction kit I am now more than likely "addicted" to mods. .
Only premium. However I did get last fill at a different station than I usually use. Wont be going there again. Made an 80 mile round trip last night with no problems, Almost all highway miles which afforded me the opportunity to "stretch it out" just a little . Thanks all for your responses.
