Ben's LS

Also...you can fit a 245/40 tire on there if you want a little smoother ride. I like the ride better than the 35 series I had before.

You think the 245/40 will work even though they are 9 inches wide without rubbing?

Pretty sure I am leaning towards the YK580. Seems to be an overall solid tire.

Pretty sure you don't want my stock chrome wheels. All 4 are peeling around the center caps. The guy who had the car before me didn't take very good care of the car.

Here's a pic of 2 of the adapters.

I have been looking at the same tires. Definitely want the 40 series tire for a smoother ride.

If I can ask how much did you get the adapters for? I know they aren't all that cheap but are a great quality from what I hear.

If the 40 will fit without rubbing then I'm for sure going with it as well. The YK580 is most likely the tires I will buy.

It was $260 for four adapters, $20 for twenty lugs for the adapters, and another $20 for lugs for the wheels. Also, $25 for shipping. So I paid $325 shipped.

You don't have to buy the lugs from them, but I would suggest it so they are guaranteed to fit properly.

Well after I get my tires the LS project might be on hold for a bit because I'm thinking of buying an F150 for winter driving. Keep the LS out of the salt.

haha those are sweet man. I would love to restore one some day. don't know much about them but did they come in 4x4?

by the way, what is the ETA on the tires? Not pressuring you lol i'm just wondering bc i may need a favor :D

Yes sir, this guy is a 4 wheel drive.

Not really sure yet about the tires. Kinda depends on this truck lol

If I do buy the truck it'll probably be a couple months, but if the truck is a no go then the tires will be ordered within the month I think.

You and those Porsche wheels

Are the specs close to my VW wheels?

haha they caught my eye!

yes same specs. I meant "work on the ls" as in if they'll look good on an LS lol

i am concerned about a 9" wheel in the front of an LS tho. What do you think from what you're seeing.

That's what I was worried about too.

I talked to a few guys on here and from what I've been told they will be fine.

It's kinda hard to say exactly if it will fit properly because I don't have tires and cant drop the jack to see, but they seem to be alright. Pretty certain it will work fine it's just the tire size I am worried about.

I'll let you know when I find out more.

From what I've heard some guys have put up to 9.5" wheels on the front.

Now that you mention it, my rears are 9.5" :shifty:

i'll try to throw them on the front and see what happens lol They do have a pretty high offset tho (60mm)

Someone correct me if I'm wrong. A 255/35-20 or whatever will be roughly 255 mm at it's widest point. That is the same as 25.5 cm which is just 0.1 cm or 1 mm wider than 10". That measurement is taken from the widest section of the tire most times being sidewall to sidewall. That being the case, wouldn't it be safe to say that a 20x9.5" wheel fitted with a 245/35 or 255/35 would work? Only the width of the wheel has changed and that width remains within the width of the tire right?

My Mille Miglia EV-Rs are 9.5" with 46et front and rear and I have 245/40/19's with Eibachs in front and they work fine.

Yeah, that's even better because the 19" gives even more room. I am teetering between 19s or 18s though. Now my big concern is tire availability as I don't have a pit crew.
