Hey everyone. Tim and myself were talking about tires, and trying to figure out whose had the best luck with what. I have OctaStars on my car which are what.... 225/60/16s? I currently have Michelins on it, but they are trashed and I need something new before the New England snow falls. Anyone have anything good to say about all season touring tires for these things?

you might want to get another set of wheels like 20 spokes or 10 spokes and make them a winter set. so that way you can have a winter set of tires and a summer set.

With out a doubt, the best all-season tire has got to be the michelin primacy's. @ work we sell lots of tires, and nothing seems to outlast those things. Or like 95 said get a separate winter set!

if price is a concern then i suggest Goodyear viva IIs we run
them on out town car all year round

The ones you get at wal-mart? I got a pair that was used just for something that held air until I got it on the road and good tires, big mistake buying used junk I spun my tire atleast a quarter mile! New maybe they are good, I know they are not expensive and if they are good in snow I'll get a set for winter.

Not a bad cheap all season tire, they replaced the "integrity" series from goodyear. I put a set on my mothers car because of the treadlife rating, quiet, great tread life, no complaints. However if your always in a hurry, always driving like a donkey, burning out, etc...then it might be a better idea to invest in something higher end. Also I live in Vegas I've never had them in the snow, and my mother is a mild mannered driver who drives 1-2 miles per day 5 days a week. Honestly her tires will dry rot before they wear down.

I'm debating weather or not I want to get something from TireRack.com, or a local shop (Town Fair Tire). Town Fair is a New England based place, but they do free 4 wheel alignments, snow tire change over, flat repair, and life time rotations, so maybe it would be worth calling them up and trying to get a quote.

I'm looking at their site right now, what about Goodyear Eagle GT A/S's? Their listed at $116/tire, but treadwear is only 440. That seems kinda low....

Micilen Pilot Sport A/S (Plus or regular) or Goodyear Assurance TripleTreds are great all season tires, the latter being a bit noisy when worn...

I've been looking at the TripleTreads but their a bit pricey. Then again, I've always ordered my tires through the dealerships I've worked for, which I'm now not working for, so maybe that's why I think tires are too expensive lol.

I'm new to the site, yet have been reading up for a little while. I wanted to let it be known Sams Club has BFGoodrich Advantage T/A tires 225/60/16 at a good price of about $430 for a set. I went with the 235/60/16's which cost a little more but am quite happy with the performance. BFGoodrich is a Michelin company too.

I have always ran the BF Goodrich T/A Pro Touring from Sams and never had a problem at all with them. http://www.bfgoodrichtires.com/tire-selector/name/touring-t-a-pro-series-t-tires

They were on my black on black 94 with Octi's

The 93 black on black also had the same set put on it too and I took 2 off that one and 2 off the 94 and now they're on the 95 and still look very close to new. Not sure what they cost now but in 2007, they were $88 each. Had stick on weights put inside the wheel and they roll smooth and quiet and have extremely good grip.

i've rocked quite a few BFG TAs.
comp TAs and radial TAson the 69 cougar. all terrain TAs on dads diesel. advantage TAs and pro touring TAs on my car, dads 89 xr7, my bro's SHO, dads had many BFGs on other cougars over the years. liked them all. can't go wrong with BF Goodrich.

i have Kumhos now. had ASXs, ASTs, and 711s. they are cheaper, but tread life wasn't as good. or that was my right foot in a high performance summer tire in 30 degree temps. hmm.

Ohhh, pictures.... I like pictures!

Yea, that was what I recently started to lean towards, are those T/As. TireRack has them with a V rating for $94/tire. They have H rated ones for $90/tire. That doesn't seem too too bad.
