I'm looking to finally be rid of the AOD and it's junk TV cable. I was going to just use a world class t5 (buddy has one out of an '84.5 mustang he'd practically give me). Within the next year or two, I plan on pulling the tired 5.0 in trade for a f4 351w based stroker in the 450-500 hp range. I hardly believe the t5 would last behind that kind of power in a ~ 3,800 DD. What other transmissions would seem approriate for a build like this that wouldn't require crazy fab work or cost 3x the cars value?
