best set up for getting mid-high 12s

Well good for you, do you want a :q:q:q:qing award!

If you can say honestly that you paid for every dollar of those fast cars that you got to drive when you were 16 I will shut up. I wasn't handed a car, and was lucky to be allowed to drive my parents Taurus. I've worked my ass of to afford the car I have and have learned what it takes to go fast, and more importantly what it costs.

I can honestly say that i paid for every car i have ever owned. Its called hard work and being good at saving money(for my first car.started saving when i was 14). I have never had any car handed to me. Every mod every oil change does and always has came out of my pocket.

I got my 1997 Mark at 15 1/2, about 2 years ago actually, and I'm still happy having a wicked awesome car while all my friends are jealous of my "old-person" Lincoln!

You should try appreciating what you have before you mod it, and think about putting that money into the bank for college so that you don't always have to worry about getting a hand-me-down Lincoln from your grandfather.

BTW, enjoy the Mark when/if you get it!:shifty:

try not to let some of the people on here get to you... they may seem crabby, but this forum probably has the largest wealth of mark viii knowledge in the world. The search function can help a lot too, since there is often a lot of different threads from different people who have done similar things. I was on this site for about a year reading old posts before i even registered a name. I dont care how you got your mark... i'm glad you have interest in it and want to keep it going- i hate seeing these things in junkyards! (my friend works at a yard in NH where there are 3 marks that are running and driving that people brought in just cause they were sick of fixing)

I would love to have a parts mark.

i know seriously.... for what stuff costs on these cars and how hard it is to come by parts, it seems like spending 500 bucks on a parts car would save you money over the years. I'd do it if i didnt live in an apartment! Until then, ive been feeding off of those marks in NH haha.
