Best way to get to the amp in trunk?

Hey....just my my 01 LS and wanted to add a little sound quality From looking at different threads it looks like I can tap into the wires from the back to set everything up. My question is what's the best way to get to the amp back there? Thanks!!!

Doesn't yours have an amp in the trunk under the rear windshield deck?

yeah....i was wondering if it's easier to get to it from inside the car or through the trunk.

you gotta get to it through the trunk... if you have your back to your trunk and bend into the trunk so you can see up, you will probably see the amp... you might have to take the whole woofer box done if you wanna play around with the amp, might be easier that way... there are a bunch of bolts holding it up...

ok...maybe i'm an idiot, but when i look up all i see are bolts that come down. I don't see any nuts or anything to loosen to get where the speakers are....but i'm probably just an idiot.....can anybody enlighten me? Thanks

well, in mine ('03), it was all encased in a carpeted cardboard-like cover. Just a few plastic push-in clips along the front lip and it comes down to reveal the amp and speakers underneath.

you have to remove the carpet cover over the tray. there are 6 nuts up there that need to be removed for the tray to drop.
