Haha, well ive posted every bike ive bought on here this year, so why not this one too!

Here is my new baby....

2001 gsxr 750
scorpion exhaust
-1 front sprocket
420 chain
carbon fiber rear fender
power commander

Needs the fender touched up (not hard) and a new windscreen (40$)

Nice. Would like to have a bike, but it is pretty dangerous. I've almost ran bikers over cause they try squeezing in while I was changing lanes.one little tap and you'll be flying

nice gixxer. I kinda want to get one of those, but I'm still stuck in Ducati mode...I think the next bike I buy is going to be a pearl white 884 after I get rid of my monster

where is the lincoln emblem? its far away...thank god

i love it, ive always loved that paint scheme. i looked at the fender alot closer, all it needs its a new tape kit for 30$ and it will look like new.

Nice bike. I have always wanted a Gixxer 1000 but could never bring myself to sell the Buell.

k9t8m - what kind of buell? only thing that might make me keep it over a gsxr1000 is probably an xb12r haha.

awesome big worm. i like the 97's too, but the looks of the 00-03 won me over!

As far as mods go, the mod list on the bike is pretty much what i wanted to do to it anyways. The owner said the bike dyno'd 127hp to the wheel, and the power commander wasnt hooked up. i may just sell the power commander to be honest. the bike has more then enough power for me, hell...a 600 does. i just like the longer first gear on the 750, can do about 76mph in first lol (with stock sprockets). i can also grow into the bike the better i get at riding. once i replace the windshield and fairing stickers, ill probably just leave it at that for awhile.

see, I love crotch rockets.... but the way I operate, I would only have one for a day

IMO there is no sane reason to have a bike that can hit 150MPH like you are walking through the park... espessially if I'm in conmtrol of it

next spring I am getting this...

YouTube - Sportster Iron 883

I'd be lucking to hit high 14's @ 85MPH... but IMO having a bike isn't about speed

my goal is to putter around with 883CC's, maybe spill it a few times... learn for a few years, then grab the new XR1200

I don't like the HUGE hogs that harley makes... partly because if something darts out in front of you at the last minute you are screwed.. I don't care how big you are you aren't taking around 800lbs and floating it past an object like a nimble dog fighter

while I don't like the big bikes harley makes... I do howver LOVE the way V-twin bikes are... the low end power, the sound etc etc etc, and as stupid as it sounds, I feel safer being on an engine that runs out of steam @ around 100MPH, keeps me in check

yea like i said befor i have no true need for anything larger then a 600cc. this 750 is nice though, i just took it out and im VERY happy with it. im glad i went with it, i can stay in first alot longer. do 25 at around 5-6000rpm...so she isnt screaming at all. thats why i went with it though, i knew first gear was better then a 600. and fuel injection this time around is just cream in your pants smooth compared to carb. I think im truely in love with something

What people need to understand, mainly people who dont ride. Its all about responsiblilty and alertness...an advanced rider on a 600cc bike can get into MORE trouble then a beginner on a 1000cc bike. People get over confident, noobies tend to respect it alot more, and almost have a fear of it (i still do, especially the thought of my family seeing me in a hospital).

Its all about responsibility...and if your bike runs 14's...thats as fast as a LT1 camaro or Lt1 corvette. thats not slow, you can still get hurt. responsibilty and a controlled wrist can make all the difference. As well as focusing on the traffic as much as you can, i anticipate everyone pulling out in front of me. I've been riding for a year only, and each bike ive gotten has been alot faster then the last. I've also never changed mentality about the way i ride. i dont want to feel the pain of rash lol, i dont want to wreck my bike. I dont stunt at all. and i try not to go to crazy with speeding.

but that being said...that xr1200 is NICE!

If you really love crotch rockets, you could get a new ninja 250...they have the looks of a true sport bike...but deffinetly not the power.

i edited that post like 5 times already...im sure there are some things im leaving out about riding. others can add em if they see em

Love the Ducatis. Especially the sound of the low tone exhaust.

cially the thought of my family seeing me in a hospital).

meh, trust me... with me, high 14's @ 80 something MPH is going to be pretty slow

YouTube - 2006 GTO 0-150

that's not saying it's still pretty quick to be dangerous... but I'm just admitting I'm going to have a dogsh!t slow bike in the grand scheme of things

Nice bike. I've never been a fan of the gsxr, but love the fact the are 750, and nobody else makes 750 anymore.

my wife has the same bike...she loves it. I think its very uncomforatable, but she disagrees. her's has a pcIII and yoshi full exhaust..TRE and -1 +2 sprockets. it ran 10.91 in the 1/4 with only a strapped front end...that bike is fast.

Nice! i dont know how you can find it uncomfortable. I see the blue yzf600 there..i just came from that and went to this. its different but compared to some newer bikes, its comfortable to me.

Morbid, its not all about how fast you can get to the speed. The bike is capable of 80+ mph...if you enter a 30mph turn at 50+ mph, you could possibly be in oncomming or in the woods/whatever. thats all im trying to say, its not nessicarily how fast it gets there.

yeah, thats actually a yzf750R...pretty rare.

im kinda fat, so the tank on the gsxr stabs into my belly a little, and the reach for the clip-ons causes pain in my wrists.

i could go on rides with the yammer for 300+miles with little fatigue, but after 100 on the gsxr im looking to get off. and 2 up on the gsxr is murder on my nuts, but the hp and smooth fi are super sweet for 2 uping.

Now that's a better choice Trilkb!

I would still contemplate a total paint job rather then just touching up the fender.

Thats just me though. I never liked the multi colored schemes on some bikes. Thats always what deters me from most bikes I see with a low price tag.
