Well it's about time! I'm not usually one to celebrate in ones demise but I have to say this was a long time coming! I truly hope this event in some way or another brings a smile to the faces of the family's of the three thousand Americans slaughtered in the 9/11 attacks. I know as being one that was wearing an ARMY uniform and stationed overseas on sept 11 2001, I'm going to have a better Monday morning! GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!! WOO HOOO!

I think they should put his ass in a glass coffin and hang it over a bonfire and televise it. I'm surely not giving credit to that dick head Obama. All he said was "go ahead" The Bush administration deserves more credit than Obama.

I give credit to the guys on the ground for going in and shooting him.

I wrote this in the Political forum also

I read this as I went to bed last night, and I woke the wife up and told her. As I laid in bed trying to sleep, the same thought kept me up for awhile. That thought was this, for 1 person in this world, so hated, so sought after, for the crimes and the memorable 9-11 tragedies, I remember the the countless soldiers that gave their own life for the protection of our freedoms that we so much enjoy in this country.

I spent 15 yrs of my life helping to protect this country, and if it was not for my injuries, I would still honorably and gladly and proudly be still serving. But I always fear that my brothers and sisters in arms own names will never be heard. Unlike the person with 3 words making up his name, OSAMA BIN LADEN. His name is embedded in every US citizen for the rest of our lives. But I hope one day the names of those that gave soooo much will be remembered for eternity.

What most do not understand or can comprehend that have not experienced serving in the Military is the bond, love and training and sacrifices that one has to protect the brother and or sister to their right or left in time of conflict, and the willingness to give their own life to save the one next to them.

I hope that the joy that this news brings to those reading, listening, or watching of the events to Osama Bin Laden's death, that they take a moment to remember those that gave their life to make this happen over the 10 years. All it takes is a moment of silence and a prayer to remember those that did give all and those still giving all for you, I and country.

To those members on this site that are still serving, I love you all and I pray and greatly appreciate what you are doing, and the time away from home is appreciated. For those that have served, the same goes to you.

What I think may happen since this happened in Pakistan, and the weak relationship US has with Pakistanis, and 3rd world countries made mostly of Islamic extremist's, is the retaliation that is going to occur because of not only Osama Bin Laden's death, but the joy we as a country share and expressed openly to the news world wide. There will be increased attempts to harm the thought of freedom in this country. Lets hope it does not, and no one else has to lose their life because of thee evil group of extremists. And that we also do not let our guard down and think that what happened on 9-11 will not happen again because of one mans death.

Unit, God, Country. God Speed to all.

could not have said it better, being a vet is reward enough for me. the important thing is to remember this was our intellegance people and our special opperators victory. obozo deserves No credit some will say he signed off on it, but could he have done anything else? imagine him getting off a plane in New York city when the people found out we had him and he said let him go. he would be living out his days in a cave. so yes the credit goes only to our active duty personell. and to you on here who do or have served i will always have your back

One thing came to mind this morning when I received the news. 3000+ famlies will sleep better at night knowing that justice has been served. The mission, the true mission, is now complete.

I have spent countless hours training and learning terrorist tactics, posturing, and our response in the event of attack. To know that the reason for this training has been eleminated is a breath of relief.

I want everyone here to understand that we must not loose our resolve, we must not reduce our vigilance. The job is not over. His death will steel the resolve of many who only want to see our beloved country dead.

To the SEAL team who did their job, well done good and faithful servants! The rest of us shall never forget.

we can celebrate this death all we want but prepare yourselfs for a whole lot more death over here now, if you think killing bin laden solved all our problems you are sadly mistaken, this is only gonna bring more problems and serious retaliation on the US, i hate to say it, but i have eyes and common sense, its gonna get ugly.

BULL:q:q:q:q!!! they have done jack :q:q:q:q in ten years while he was alive other than the fear of a strike or fear of a nuke or a fear of chemical weapons etc

As Clarence Darrow once said, sums it up nicely,
"I have never killed a man, but I have read many obituaries with great pleasure".

They can put a monkey on a moon but it took them 10 years to find this guy?? I want pics and DNA proof. Big thanks to our army men and women, but politicians can suck a big one.
I am surprised they didnt wait till gas got up to 6 bucks a gallon to come out with this news!

I was a combat engineer for 8yrs and I still have friends out there in the fight, I have lost some friends as well. We all waited for this day to come and here it is, lets give thanks to our military and keep praying for their safety. they won't stop until they are hell with osama bin laden.

Now we need to do something about our borders. Especially since I live in AZ...:shifty:

There are pics floating around of Bin Laden's head with a hole in it. Google it if you wish to see it. Then again, nothing would ever be good enough for you right wing nutjobs.

Anyway, I think I need a new avitar for a couple days.

It's hard to trust a government that is allowing our middle-class to disappear...and for the record, I don't like either party.

Thanks to all the soldiers and their sacrifices.

Shot him in the head, and then dumped his body in the ocean.

.......

Pics or it didn't happen.

Elections are real close.

OBL's likely been dead since December of 01. Kidney patient on dialysis, in the mountains of Tora Bora. His last video message that December showed a very gaunt, pale sickly man, who seemed unable to move his right arm. A stroke brought on by slow kidney failure. News of his death and eyewitness accounts of his burial in an unmarked grave were reported in both Egypt and Israel, and even the CIA admitted that it was probably true, as his radio communications (which they had been monitoring) had ceased.
Videos released from him since that time have been either shown to be fakes or are just audio with old still photos.

Not saying it ain't so, just shaking my head at how fast people accept things as fact with no. Proof. Whatsoever.

Scary, really.

A real life Emmanuel Goldstein.

Let's get that Two Minutes Hate going, and afterwards celebrate with a glass of Victory gin. Cos this thing stinks.

That pic is a photoshop that's been on the web for awhile. Not even a good one, and I've won several photoshop contests. Here it is in an article from last year..

That's not the pic I saw yesterday, although the main bullet point is the same. Tried to find the pic from yesterday and it's not there anymore. Oh well, I guess he's not dead after all, considering they aren't doing the usual thing and publicly releasing pictures of dead people.

Rwnj

Rightwing nut jobs huh?As opposed to leftwing whackjob.I love how the current resident has continued the anti terror policies of GWB.must make you leftist really happy.Oh, the irony.

Nice one Medium. Never knew you were so childish. It's "avatar" btw

Not sure what you're problem is but a simple PM would have solved it. If you want to be 12, that's fine too.
