I've got a buddy here in town that's going to do some work on my Nissan, spray tint the tails on my S14 as well as the front lighting. Using black + clear coat.

I've seen tinted LS tails and I think they're gangster :hump: .

But what about headlights, has anyone done this? Pics would help make ultimate choice.

i thought about this idea too but i thought the headlights were too nice looking to black out. see it done on a lot of nissans and pontiac grand prixs unfortunately....

i've been in a few tinted headlight cars and it doesn't affect your lighting as much as you would think, barely noticeable really...

My opinion is against it.

Thats just my opinion. If you do want it I say something along the lines of a light stage 1 type of look, maybe some of that film that goes over it in case you end up with visibility issues. That way you can remove the film and not have to buy new lights. Id put money on it that you would get sick of it after a few months if that.

Found tinted headlights http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2551580

I think that is a lot to sacrifice for looks because the light output will not emit as well.

Too bad the whole car looks like diarreah :D

Otherwise, I like the lights. Thanks for the pic!

I've got G4 paint, so i'll be risky going with the black/white combo. I'm going to tint lighting all around, 5% on the windows and polished lip/black face wheels. All of the chrome (front grille/rear deck lid) will be paint matched.

Light output won't be affected that much, my brother ran the black lenses on his black '90 GT Foxbody back in the day... the light didn't seem to dim at all AND it looked killer.

Yae man that does seem risky, hope it works out for you. I would be interested to see pictures when done.

I'm going to keep it light... maybe a grey/smoke color. Jet black would a little over-board... unless on a black car.

That's why were doing the s14 1st. I won't get bored with it, I get bored of everything except cars :woowoo2:

The film just seems like too much a hassle... but you're correct, i'd rather not have to buy new lights if botched.

My B-Days on its way in a few months and I have been thinking on asking the wife for 2 of those kits from Lamin-X just to play around with but I honestly just do not like the full out tinted look.

I like tinted windows and some smoked reflectors on the right car with the right shape but Im just not a fan of that all black look.

I love my red tail lights and think they are just set off by the silver paint and vise versa.

I notice lots of small things with detail, its that Planogram crap. Its got my brain infected...lol!!!

i had bought the tint for my headlights, they were red and they were super light. once i put them on it did affect my output and made my hid's look pink. just a comment from someone who has done it. i immediately took it off and have been sitting in my garage since. they were extremely easy to put on tho
