I think the "Frogman" has more to do with his training and less to do with amphibians.

He's made and left enough clues to get a good estimation as to his line of work and maybe even his company.

Control of a resources that serves as the life-blood of our economy is important, so indirectly you can say that an American presence in the region is motivated by our need for oil. If the free-flow of oil at regular market prices were disrupted, the economic damage it would do would be catastrophic.

But to say, or imply, that the military operations in Iraq are purely about stealing oil and making money, is ill-informed and misguided. If we wanted cheap oil, we could have simply lifted the sanctions on Iraq and allowed Hussein to bring all his oil to market, and not simply sell it on the black market through the U.N.

I thought he was an ex-seal (or other ex-special forces) employed in a private "security" company, hired to protect civilian contractors as they go about their business/work.
