I have a 2006 LS I bought used with 17,450 miles on it. It now has 45,000 miles and I'm replacing all the brake pads. I do combined city and highway driving and was wondering what the typical brake pad life is for the LS. I have no idea what the previous owners driving situation was. Just curious what everyone else is getting out of theirs.

The problem is that (just like with all cars) the typical brake pad life varies greatly by how and where you drive. For example, brake pads last longer for my wife than they do for me.

30K is alot... I bet I get closer to 10k (never really thought about it)

I changed my fronts around 35K or so and they are ready to be changed at 80K. So about 45K for me on the fronts with my driving style. But like Joe said it all depends on how you drive.

So it appears that about 45,000 would be the limit. I put new rotors and pads on and it's stopping fine now. Nice firm pedal.

ok, maybe 10 is a little short now that I think about it... I've only done it once with my 40K i've owned it
