brake problems???? 1990 TC

Brakes on the 1990 Town Car
I've been getting some weird brake problems. Under normal braking everything is fine but when i brake harder the car pulls to the right hard. Usually the brake pedal is soft but when it happens the pedal is harder to push down. I replace the rotors and pads but I'm still having the same problem.

Could the left caliper be sticking open?

Sounds like a "Diagonal Split" braking system. The left front may not have as much pressure under a hard application. I am not up to date with your braking system but it may be a 'master cylinder' or a 'control valve' problem. Some of the other guys on here may have some technical advise to answer your question... Could be a bad ball joint, caliper, master,and if you have it problem with ABS module or sensors

So the problem got worse with the cold temperatures.
Decided to replace the driver caliper. Problem solved.
