on my 88 lsc my brake pedal is really hard. i have the hydra-boost system. what could be the problem

Probably the accumulator, although there are lots of possibilities. Are there any indicator lights or codes?

the brake light is on and other weird things happen too...in park and rev it up the speedo will move,can't change the display on the computer thing that tells mpg etc... the ac and heat work great lol....the accumulater is the ball to the driver side of the booster right?
