heres a little back story on the car. im the bodyguy/painter in a body shop in wichita ks and we had a cop come in wanting to know if we buy cars to fix up and sell, well we do so my boss went and looked at it and bought it. guy said it was his fathers who just passed away and he didnt want it, he also said it ran and drove but was missing the key. so my boss bought it and as it was being dropped off on the flat bed i fell in love witht the car right away so i bought it from my boss. went and got a key made for it but it wouldnt start,did some looking and found the starter in the trunk so i put on a new starter thinking it may have been bad. well it wasnt turned out the motor had 2 thrown rods. so i bought a new motor and put that in and before i put the tranny back in i checked the tranny out. the fluid in it was actually blacker than the old motor oil that was in the motor, so being i really didnt want to pull the tranny again i went ahead and bough a new tranny and put that in.

after i got it running i desided i wasnt going to tag the car untill i had it done because if i did tag it i would never finish it how i wanted. ive had the car for about 3 months now and its been done for about 3 weeks. and this is where the pics start at.

radiator support was over to the left about an inch so i put it on the frame rack and pulled it straight

wooo! you got teh skills! also great to see one brought back to life.

i really like the shaved front bumper. been seriously considering doing that on my car. awesome work.
 
Very nice. The only thing I would have done differently was an LSC conversion, and HID's.

looks good so far, id stay with the blue, kinda rare and then you shouldn't have to paint all the jambs etc
 
Great work! Really saved a turd. With all the issues I hope the car was next to nothing, cost wise that is.

in everything you see (or will see) i have 1800 in it but thats also no labor since i did everything

ive since added some flow masters but pics of that would be lame. im planning on repainting the rims with maybe some silver mini flake so they pop some more then down the road ill get new rims for it. the ones i want are 2300 just for the rims and they are custom made 17 inch billets so it will wait a bit. but thats about it hope you all like it.
 
Wow. Tire companies are gonna love you. I assume the sway bars are eliminated now? Thats a serious drop. Is the car now gonna be a show car or is it actually gonna get driven?

only time it wears the tires are when im smoking them:D and no it still has both sway bars and i drive it every day. it atcually just got hailed on about 45 minutes ago but it was pea size so hopefully no dents
 
Oh man that really sucks, I hope its not hurt. :(

I admire all the work and the paint came out nice. I like and dont like the lights. Looks neat but I hate it when peoples tail lights are so dark. Guess thats cause I live in BFE and the only lights are from other cars.

So how did you do the front? Did you just use the stock bag/shock or make a new mount for the fastbag setup?
 
BTW, that much negative camber will wear tires uber fast on these cars. I had camber at -1* and managed to waste a new pair of expensive tires on the inner edge in under 3000 miles. To -.2* as possible.
 
the camber dont actually kill tires its the toe when lowerd or layed out it does toe in some but raise it up to drive and your golden. and on the front i wired the factory valve to work with the switch, used a union to go from the factory 5/16 line to a 3/8 line and modified the lower strut mount to sit an inch lower on the arm
