build up of my 95 mark viii

Ohhhh............ it looked good til I saw the trunk... that did it in. You do, however, do excellent work it appears

Also my friend has the same wheels on his mark, and they look killer on it

Wonder if you ever seen the white ghost mark. That was ray's old mark.

Great Googly Moogly! Saw that license plate in the trunk and thought I was having an acid flashback. Is the chrome trim around the taillights staying? Cos now those lines go nowhere.

Not a fan of the tag or the lack of the center lights in the trunk but damn you do great work!! As long as you like it that's all that matters! I'll deffantly pay for you to fix my car!!! I'll be in town next week and I'll have to stop by the shop.

hey you are in freaks of nature? i used to be in magnetic mini's truck club with my bagged silverado years ago in connecticut, i also have a bunch of friends here in the florida chapter of relaxed atmosphere, and hung out with some severed ties and acrophobia. i have always wanted to bag a mark too, but if i ever did anything crazy to a mark, i would tube chassis and pro-street one before i bagged it. you do killer body work, i built a 93 suburban fully shaved, suicide back doors and a first gen escalade front clip, bagged it on 22's and it layed frame for a buddy in massachusetts, and i bagged a sonoma for a guy in orlando few years ago, i have built and done lots of body work on many trucks in florida, i hate it but i know what i am doing, its not my favorite thing to do though. the back bumper looks awesome with no tag box.

yup im the vp of the kansas chapter and i too build minis and have had a few before the mark i had a doored and chop top nissan hardbody with more body mods than the playboy mansion then i sold it and was building a custom 4 door nissan hardbody but i traded that off to a freind for the billet rims for this. heres a facebook link to my shop http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Mikes-kustom-fabrication/113516978705508

Just curious, what method did you use to shave the mouldings off the sides, metal or filler? Car looks sick, btw.

welded in a filler panel then used body filler its alot of work but will last much much longer

smoothed shaved and painted the engine cover to match

lol beat me to it, but its been a month since i logged in. i spoke with ray and even he wasnt happy with the trunk lid, said it looked much better in the concept drawings, if only i could find those, i know i saved them somewhere but who knows. over all it looks good

I have pics of two of my past first gens where I matched the engine covers to the cars paint too, I did it years ago. I didn't think anyone would like it, but I did, and I got some fans when I posted pics back then. I'll dig them up later, I am on my HP Touchpad so I can't get the files till I go on the computer.

had some free time today so i tore it down managed to get it completly torn apart in one and a half hours. ive taken this damn thing apart way to many times.

the first paint job was 9 hours and that was masking it and painting it would have been aboout 5 hours but masking off the positive/negetive flames took quite a bit of time. this new paint job ill probably have about 20-25 hours in it by the time im done
