The rear bumper on my 97 that I just got needed some work. The spray cans from Automotive touchup are some of the best I've ever used. You need sunglasses to look at the red primer. 97 BUM BFR.jpg97 BUM PRI.jpg97 end.jpg97 end 2.jpg97 BUM FIN 2.jpg

He is the KING of RATTLE CANS !!

If this job was truly done on rattle cans then I no longer wear the crown. I sir thou hand over my crown as former King of Spray & now pronounce you the new King of spray! Hip, hip hooray!

Gonna have to try that automotive paint website soon. Looks really good.

100_0851SPRAY PAINT.jpgTRK 2 TONE 2.jpgThank You, I'm touched to get that honor Yes it was done with cans. I've been practicing for over 40 years. Pic of spray cans downstairs, have more in the garage. Pic 2 my old PU that I never finished, done with Rust-oleum from home depot,Cobalt blue metallic and hammertone black. This automotive touchup is the best I've ever used, it's worth the money. OLE Bruce (dbleb88), just did some white(2 paints) and is shocked how good it worked. Where do I get my crown, burger king? Thanks for your kind words TONYyyy

That's look's great!!! I'm going to look into that!
Would that be ( Automotivetouchup.com) ???

I used some touch up on the front bumper and fender for my 96 toreador red. I bought it from someone online that claimed it was a 2 step process. I should of just left the 2nd topcoat off. It turned it too dark. (I was working in an open shed and the wind was messing with it to just lightly spray the 2nd topcoat). What worked real good was that I let the paint dry perhaps an hr and topcoated it with the 2 part clear glass urethane in a rattle can. I left the lacquer coats only dry an hr and the clear flowed great. The activated spray can worked great. The nozzle had a good spray pattern. Dryed hard enough in a couple of hrs. The bumper hasn't cracked yet (that was a yr ago). The black lacquer and lacquer clear we sprayed on my son's car a few yrs ago is fading and failing. I really believe the trick is lacquer color coats and cover with the 2 part urethane.

Their paint is awsome I just used it last week to do some LSC molding, grill and headlight trim. It turned out flawless and looks like it was done in a paint booth. The color was dead on and I was worried being my color code wasn't used much. Pics will be coming soon!

Wow!!! That looks really good!! That red primer is bright however. YIKES !!

I've tried DupliColor before which works great except for the clearcoat. This however, I'm itching to try some of that myself since my rear and front bumpers both need touching up due to being rear ended not too long ago. Although the rear bumper might need replacing, it'd still be a good opportunity to practice some rattle can techniques.

Maybe yous can chime in about the rear needing replacing as it looks like the brace behind the bumper might be bent in the middle since it no longer sits flush with the trunk lid and corner lamps.

fordguy... Your car is GORGEOUS. :shifty: :p

Thanks man!! She has had a lot done to her in the last few weeks. Painted moldings, grill and headlight trim, repaired and refinished seats, new crystal clear headlioghts, fixed defrost/panel actuator arm and while the dash was out did white faced gauges and a full 100% blue led dash lights. Cant wait to get a thread going to show all the progress I've made. Okay I'll stop hyjacking the thread now just couldn't wait to get the word out!! :)

That look incredible! You've inspired me to order some for my front/rear bumper. Which combination of paint/bottle did you use out of these options?

-1/2 or 2 Oz touch up bottle
-12 OZ aerosol spray can
-ready to spray pint/Quart/gallon can

Being a bumper, I want to say he used a pint, that should be plenty enough to cover the bumper.

8 pints=4 quarts
4 quarts= 1 gallon

Also, very slick job ONLYTONY.

Thanks to this thread, I decided to try Automotive Touchup paint for a ding in front of my right rear wheel. It has been there for years as far as the PO told me. He just didn't get around to fixing it. I didn't sand it or anything, just cleaned up the area and dabbed some on.

Standing 15 feet away, the paint that was scraped off caught your attention and would notice the ding but now it makes it a little harder to notice.

I got a pearl Ivory for my dads Mark VIII to repaint the bumper. I bought a quart but it didn't match, so I sent in a test card. They remixed the paint and now it matches perfectly on the test card they sent. When I paint it, I will post a pic here to update. BTW ONLYTONY, did you get their clearcoat or another one?
