busted grill....idiot in truck

Oh, of course you were joking. It's just that sarcasm travels so well over the internet.

It wasn't meant to be literal. Not like this guy is one of the columbine kids and is gonna take my advice and shoot up the school because some kid broke his grille...

you know whats funny on here lately, the amount of young guys insulting the older members by calling us kids, its so obvious lately by reading the forums who is young and who is mature, at least partially mature. the first sign someone is just barely into puberty here is the talk about beating people up, kicking ass, or putting someone on the ground over a car, someone just recently smashed the front of my mark VIII, my headlights got broken, marker lights, and hood got cracked, it was a huge piece of drywall from the back of a truck, i called the company, told them what happend, i called the cops, and i went to the collision shop at ford, got an estimate, gave it the the company where the truck was owned, got a check, got new lights and stuck $967 bucks in my pocket, and i didnt have to hit, kick or shoot anyone.

the bickering and childish remarks lately is over loading the real posts and cluttering the site will B.S

Depends on the problem...

Name a problem best solved by viloence.... wife won't do the dishes again?

Thats why we all pay insurance.........:D Let the multi million dollar companies pay:D

alright, let me clear it up, I'm a perfectly stable 17 year old. I'm NOT fighting him unless it is absolutely necessary for self defense. The stuff i said about busting up his truck was just me venting. I have a donor car i can get an ok condition grill off of, I will have to clean it up, but i could get it for maybe 30 dollars. I got two almost brand new head light housings off of it for 25 dollars.

I'm good on that end, odd though, today my AC controls stopped working and I got a "Check Voltage" message, i think its the alternator, so im probably gonna have to shell out 250 for that anyway. and going to his insurance and pocketing that cash may help off set the cost of the alternator. I didn't even think about his insurace till i got on here and you guys mentioned it, i was just gonna say $70, 30 for the grill, 40 for the trouble, but hey, 350 is a little better.

$350... you need to get an actual estimate, there could be more damage than you can see, and his insurance can pay for it!

nah, doubtful that it did any more damage, just kinda poked a nice clean hole in the grill about 2 inches below and 1/2 an inch to the left of the lincoln symbol in the center of the grill. I knew that the alternator was probably going to go out, it still has the stock one in it........which simply blows my mind that it has lasted this long. But I may get an estimate anyway just in case, cause you can never be too safe nowadays.

yeah a bit off on that last estimate of where the damage occured, sorry. I got my sister to bring me her camera and took some pics of the car sitting where it happened, i didn't move it or anything. I'm just walking out to my car and boom I see this.

Let me elaborate...

You take it in and get some estimates that are as high as possible.... that way you get more money... point out some scratches on your bumper....

talk to dmaup about this sort of deal, he will tell you to get an estimate....then they will fix ALL of the damage, seen and unseen because i'm sure there is probably more than meets the eye as far as damage goes

well, after checking everything out, the kid mysteriously doesn't have a trailer hitch anymore.......and the resource officer at the school said that without that.....there is no way to prove he did it....so im a bit of a hole now. this is such crap...i guess ill just replace it and if ANYTHING else happens to my car....im not above asking the dean for some info on where he lives and throwing balogna on his truck......some pokadots would look nice on his nissan ranger.

I liked the idea of smokin a bunch of grass and try to put that grill in.

I have had a grill fight before.
some nice cuts to show for it.

I'd find out where he lives and talk to his parents... it's worth a shot as they wouldn't want their son to get into trouble, just tell them how much it's going to cost to fix it....

dang, i ended up lucking up got a buddy at a junkyard that has a 94 that was hit in the side. the grill is in perfect condition and i had helped him take some parts off of some other cars over the summer that some customers needed to he let me have the grill for free. either thats luck or god was looking out for me.
