C.O.P Job, How Hard

I noticed that one of my C.O.P plugs are going out and i wanted to know how hard is it to do on my car, keep in mind i own a 2000 lincoln LS V6 so the intake manifold is on top of the passenger side cylinder head.. If anyone has done this please let me know whats the difficulty:confused:
 
its easy, you have to take the upper intake plenum off, just get a gasket when you get your parts
 
i am starting to think that it might not be the whole plus but just the boot, you think the boot only will cause sputtering, the guy who owned the car before did the plugs and i have a lil feeling he damaged the boot when reinstalling themm this was about 3k miles ago
 
if it was a cop wouldn't it throw a check engine light?

No, they almost never do. You are wasting your time if you don't replace all the COPs and all the plugs. There are a lot of posts on this site about this very common problem.

01V6 not difficult but take your time, lay out bolts in pattern of removal, I removed mine Friday night and put it back together Saturday morning. As long as the intake is off, replace all gaskets, PCV valve and rubber elbow, you may need to replace the long PCV line that runs from the throttle body to the rear of the engine. Replace all plugs and cops. especially replace the valve cover gaskets. Take some carb cleaner and clean out the throttle body and intake manifold too. you don't need to remove the throttle body, just detach it from the intake and let it hang there on the cables. easier than removing the cables.
