car bogging down bad!

I have a 03 ls v8. I've been driving my car with 2 bad coils, well just last night my car just started acting up. it sounded terrible and it would barely move and eventually wouldnt even go. Replaced all the coils, scanner read bad maf sensor, replaced that, still running bad. Checked fuel pressure, it was 56 psi. The car is fine in idle, it's just in gear it gets so bogged down when you hit the gas and usually just cuts off. I took of the air filter tube to see what the throttle body was doin, but it went in fail safe mode and it wasn't opening. sprayed it real good with some cleaner and I'm all out of ideas. I need some help bad. Thanks

If you drove it long enough with 2 bad coils, clogged cats are a definite possibility.

Ya, but if it was the cats, when everything was cold from sitting overnight it should have ran fine atleast for a little bit until they heated up and all the dirt stirred up and clogged it.

Maybe, but perhaps not. I think you can test the cats by getting one of these temp. gauges that you can point at the car without touching it. If the temps vary signficantly it indicates a problem.

it should go from about 3-400 to about 150 degree F
