Hey Ya'll,

Anyone have a problem with the remote or whatever. In the morning I go to the car and the remote unlocks the door. Later in the day I go out and the remote not unlocking the car (have to use the key), and thensometimes the car will not start? (the key turns and all the systems turn on, but won't kick over)? I first thought it was the battery,(replaced it) but 2 days later, got in teh car and it won't turn over. I lock and unlock the car using the button on the door, then the car starts. I wondered if it is the battery in the remote, but the spare remote has the same reaction.

Any takers?

What year is the car. Some 00/01's have an issue with the PCM and some cabling that casues no/hard start conditions.

Please post the Year and Model LS you have and any pertinent info, such as recent work etc, that you think might help.

Try this:
1) Lock your car with the remote, wait a minute, unlock your car with the remote, wait a minute, then try to start your car.
2) Lock your car with the key, wait a minute, unlock your car with the key, wait a minute, then try to start your car.
3) Lock your car with the remote, wait a minute, unlock your car with the key, wait a minute, then try to start your car.

If you car starts for 1 and 2, but not 3, then that probably means there is some sort of theft protection. This means if you lock your doors with the remote, you have to unlock them with the remote, and vice versa with the key. If this does not work then please disregard this statement.
