carbon fiber hood?

I could go for the carbon fiber look. I think it'd look good painted to match if you had the trunk and hood. It would still have the luxury look too. I'd like to see some prices when they're available.

Some of my SHO associates have carbon fiber hoods.
Look to pay at least $400 for the hood and another
$100 for shipping. These are today's prices and definitley
cheaper now than when they were originally starting up.
Another option would be to develop a fiberglass replacement,
maybe with a cowl design or something. I think a slight cowl
on the LS would look pretty sweet. SHO owners have both
CF and FG options nowadays:

If your going through ViS, they usually want 10 prepaid orders before they will make the mold. I've worked with ViS and Custom Carbons, out of California as well, and the profit to be made on CF hoods doesn't start to show until after you've sold 10 - 15 hoods.

I have to admit im kinda curious about what this would look like. I think it would look good if you blended the paint with the rest of the car but still had the CF look. Id be curious to see some pics of a mock up as well as a general idea as to the price.

Personally, I think any and all aftermarket parts should be welcomed. I mean come on, we all know the shortage of available options out there. Seems to me that the items developed for the LS the bigger the audience. Makes ya think how many people have shy'd away from buying a Lincoln because of the limited availablity of aftermarket parts?

Yep, great point, that is one of the other reasons I got out of mine. Aside from stereo and itty bitty things there was nothing to really show I did something to mine. Although the dealer sold my car literally the first 15 minutes it was put on the lot. I know a body man there and he said everyone was talking about the car because it was so clean that when it went to get "cleaned up" they did not have to do much of anything and it hit the used lot and was gone. Hope they take care of it like I did.

Well......

I haven't heard back yet from my guy so I am contacting the companies myself. I will see what I come up with....

There is a local shop here where I live called Proglass heres the website http://www.profinish-proglass.com I've seen alot of his work around town. I have sent him an email to see if he would be interested. I'll give him a few days and then call if I don't get a reply.

I was thinking about it, but it all depends on the cost. I mention carbonfiber on the LS and people her make fun of me :(:(

I think it looks cool
