Carriage Top and trunk luggage rack anyone?

+1. It was a further bad attempt to make a car more luxury than the balance of luxury and sport (other than what it was originally designed). Sometimes there is no need to reinvent the wheel.

I also am not lost on the fact, that was a weird way to make my first post on this site. I don't have an LS yet. I am currently serving in the middle east. I will be buying an 06 when i get back. Then i may have more to say.

Where's the 'continental kit' on the back lol a pimped out lincoln who da thought

I put a luggage rack on our '91 Sable to hide a very nasty gouge. It was waaaaaaay cheaper than getting the gouge fixed!

anything you added to a 91 sable would make it better.. :D ... My 87 grand am had one. luckly the guy double side taped it on. Dont think that was the suggested manufacturer installation...

Well that's the thing... it pulls you both ways. Initially you think "old folks" when you see the ragtop and luggage rack but then you notice the 22" rims... confused pimp?

I know an older guy with 20s on his 06 maxima, 35% tint, and lightly tinted headlights and tail lights. Looks like a younger guys car. Some older people around here have decent to good taste

Im sure my hover car will look good when I turn 80.... (they gotta be out be then)

I dont doubt that there is a small group of old folks who would do that but having been raised by my grandparents in a 55+ community the primary concern every old person I knew had about there car was how comfortable the ride was and putting 22s on an LS would be the equivalent to ripping the shocks out and replacing them with steel pipes.

Someone loved that care immensely at one point. I applaud the creativity, time, and effort spent on it.

Needs black & white dice on rear view mirror and chrome curb feelers. Maybe gangster white walls!

I saw this as well but have seen way worst on craigslist in FL.

Shred, do not forget that there is a different set of 55 year olds out here(in certain circles) with more options with regard to automobile personalization. Even though the dealer clearly went after the more "traditional" older Lincoln buyer with the soft top, my Father is 60 and has aftermarket wheels on 2 of his 4 vehicles. I know I am 41 and will never have another vehicle without adding certain must have items(exhaust, air intake, wheels).
