i need to get my cats replaced. i have no idea how much that would cost. anyone know what they charge to replace them?

Why do they need to be replaced?

Your vehicle is old enough, you can replace them with aftermarket cats; you'll save a bundle. Look at Magnaflow's line of highflow cats.

He should be... if it's a 2000, it's now 9 years old at worst... a shade over 8 at best. But you never know!

Again, just check out magnaflow's high flow cats; they aren't too expensive. Might want to replace in a pair though... that way both sides should be flowing relatively close.

I just did mine on the passengers side. it was $450 i think at meineke. sucks but i couldn't weld a piece in such a space like that. passed emissions, and got the check engine light off.

Just pull out the instrument cluster and remove the CEL bulb :D

is there anyway to short the oxygen sensor so that it doesnt register?

ummmmm most states use your OBDii against you on this. If you ahve your car tuned, they can shut off the rear O2's (after the cat) and leave them in line. the comp wont look for em, but will see they are there. Noone will know by reading you CEL codes, that you have them turned off.

and I never said that!!!
