Ive had flowmaster cats on my 04 v6 but the driver side has been needing a replacement. It's such a tight space and these small ones that are on it apparently aren't made anymore. They were like 4" wide by 8" long.

So I had picked a replacement from Summit Racing, I believe all LS's have a 2.25" inlet/outlet

I know it's a little smaller then the flowmaster's so I spoke to summit to be sure and they said it should be fine.

Dropped it off at the shop and they are telling me it wont work? Not sure if this is true or not?

Magnaflow makes cats (and a direct fit system) specifically for the LS. I would suggest googling it or trying to find it on ebay - it's relatively cheap. With that said, many members (including myself) had some issues with getting that direct fit system to work.

Edit - just saw you have the v6. I don't know if they have that system for the v6 or how the v6 exhaust is different.

Magnaflow used my 2000 V6 to prototype the cat-back system for the 1st Gen V6. Turns out the (1st gen) V8 and V6 system are the same.....
