Working on the sister in-laws 96 Conti 4.6L DOHC. Today she said it was running too hot. Almost to the red, but didn't cook it. I went out there and could smell burnt electrical under the hood. Started it up. turned on a/c and no fans. Found the 60amp fuse blown. Towed it home. Replaced fuse, tried a/c, compressor still runs but no fans. Pulled driver side fan plug (since passenger side is fed from driverside motor) and found that I do have 12V to one plug, but an not getting a ground reading on the other two. I am assuming that the CCRM gives the fans a ground depending on what speed is required? Is the CCRM the metal box located on the fan shroud with a couple dozen wires going to it? I still have to ohm the motors to see if one or both fave shorted causing
the failure.

Thanks,
Jimmy

Ok, I now have power and grounds back, both motors are toast. Thanks anyway.
