cd ejection error help!

Anybody know what to do with this problem if the guard doesnt lift up? As in, when you hit eject normally the front guard lifts up and the CD comes up. Well i'm getting this error and the guard never comes up so I can't really get to the CD..Or can I?

Is it possible to swap it out for a glove box disc changer. I never think I had real troubles with mine.

I thought the Alpine unit was the really sucky one in the LS?

Maybe I am thinking of a different car?

I just got this problem today. I wasnt in the car when it happened, it was my brother. Anyways, I had 6 cd's in already, and he told me he wanted to put one of his in, so apparently he held EJ until it said auto eject. Well, im not sure of the order that the events occured, but in the end, 4 of my cd's were taken out, and one of his and one of mine were left in, and now they wont come out. The only thing is, the CD player says there are no cd's in it at all. If I press EJ, it says NO CD. If I press load, it says moving to ... and it doesnt make a noise or any indication that it is moving, and then says error. I lifted up the little door and had a look, and I cant see a cd, so I dont know what to do. I tried jiggling it, but no result.

If it matters, the car is a 2002 LSE and all of my cd's were burnt, and I am assuming my brothers was too.

Any suggestions?

Mine has gotten stuck a few times. I could see the CD when I looked in the slot and all I've done was take my house key and push the CD back into the player. The player then tries again to eject and the CDs come right out every time.
