CEL Check Engine Light does NOT come on

Hi everybody,

I'm having a problem getting my 2001 LS to pass emissions. First one of the o2 sensors on bank 2 is bad, no biggie, easy fix. The major problem is my check engine light does not flash on when you start the car. This causes my car to fail emissions.

Does anybody know what might cause this and how I can remedy it?

Blown bulb?

turn your key to the on position (dont start) and all your lights on the dash come on for a sec, and the check eng light should stay on as long as the eng isnt running if not then blown bulb 99% of the time
