I am going to purchase a chip for my 97 Mark VIII and with this being unchartered territory for me, I was hoping some one could assist me in this endeavor. Some one who has installed one and appreciates the performance that they have delivered, what you had burned/installed onto the chip, where you bought it....??? Looking for positive and negative comments please. I have the LMS MAF, shift kit, and 4:30 gears, so I know that I will have to have the chip altered to maximize the changes here....any help would be great, thanks, Derrick.

Gee, thanks for all the input guys. Doesn't anyone have a performance chip?
 
Chips are a delicate subject and honestly can be very personally impressionable and can subsequently lead to heated discussions.

I will say I have had an LMS with great results and no complaints and now have an SCT.

you dont know if that will work in the 95 contiental do you
 
It'll be on a sticker on the car's computer. You MAY be able to read it without pulling it, but I don't know on a Conti. Look for a 4 digit code - usually letter/number/letter/number

The manual says...

Top RH side of safety wall, under splash cover

That'd be the firewall just to the passenger side of center.
 
alredy speeking languag i dont understand lol
ok splash cover would that be that area by the Interior air filter under the hood area
