I think mine is broke as I can move my steering wheel up and down but can't move it in or out. So.....Can I repair it? If not where can I find another? Lastly, how big a job is it to fix or change out? Bruce L. Hansen.......Senior Citizen......Alive by the Grace and Mercy of GOD Update: I made a MISTAKE! It's not the clock spring I guess cause everything works......Cruise control, steering is ok so what's my problem? Sometimes I think if brains were money I'd be bankrupt......If anyone of you can help would be appreciated. bruce

From what Iv read, the track stop that the steering shaft rides on breaks and makes the motor stuck that rides the shaft in n out. Saw some pictures of the fix and its pretty involved with basically a full steering wheel tear down to get at the faulty parts. Thank fully, mine is stuck pretty much where I want it to be. Just not worth the hassel only to find there are no replacement parts any way. The fix has to be fabricated.

Thank you xtriggerman for stepping up and giving me an answer I can use. As you say it doesn't bother me, it's in a good position so I'll leave it alone.....As I've said many, many times I'm not working on my Mark anymore cause life is frustrating enough......Let someone else do it I say.....But when you tell me what's wrong with the car don't piss on my shoe and tell me it's raining.....Be honest!..............Bruce L Hansen......Senior Citizen......Alive by the Grace and Mercy of GOD

Not a bad fix to be honest. Have had to do mine, there is a complete write up in the tech section.
Once it's fixed shut off the easy entry exit which will stop the column from moving on it's own and will only move when you move it.
