I have a '99 Continental and the auto shift is on the steering column. When did Lincoln do away with this? Thanks in advance!

Don't believe they did just depends on the model. I have a 97 and my shifter is in the middle on the floor

5 vs 6 Passenger
Through the end of production with the 2002 models, configuration depended if the vehicle was ordered as a 5 or 6 passenger model, with the 6 passenger configuration having the column shift.
