What's up guys? So i have been searching these forums for a while and found some great info so decided to join. With that said i am trying to install an aftermarket deck to replace my Ls 05 THX navigation hu. The cd player would not work. So i got another hu and i would like to keep the factory amp and speakers. So i was told that there is no harness available for this installation so am i to cut the factory harness so i can splice or is there another way? Also i cant find any wiring diagrams for an 05. Im new to this any help would be greatly appreciated.

Dont know why you Would pass judgment. All i am simply asking is for help. So with that said i asked for the wiring diagram for a 2005 Lincoln Ls v8 sport and i got a link to a forum that did not help whatsoever. Can anyone help me? Anyone other than the two who though thought they helped did just the opposite by trying to seem superior than someone who just joined. By the way its a thx navigation factory amplified system. thanks in advance

Wow, just Wow. It's all there. I would have even e-mailed the full size pages if asked.

dude, I gave you (end even showed you how to easily find stuff making searching so much easier) a link right to the exact topic you are asking about! the topic that clearly explains exactly what you need to do to put an aftermarket radio into a car with THX and fully integrate the OEM amps, fukcing even has all the diagrams you can handle...

so to answer your next question, it is apparently a big NO, if you cant follow those directions, then there is no way anyone would be able to help you. you must pretty much be completely unhelpable

I tell ya, people today... there used to be a time when you thanked somebody for teaching you a thing or two...

nowadays, if you tell someone where the info is and that they just need to search it and you get called unhelpful and a jerk...

then I even do the damn search for him, linked him to the instructions to do exactly what he is asking about and I still get sh!t about it...

probably would get bitched at if I went over there and did it for him too.

that's it, sorry guys, I tried to turn over a new leaf and actually help people get their answers, I'm just going back to being a complete ass that offers no help!

Possible a new member is an old member who was recently booted? Certainly jumped on the "you guys suck" bike and rode it around pretty quick. If not the case, who knows, there are some interesting people out in the world and they must be counterbalanced somewhere.

To be fair after owning an LS if you weren't insane or at the very least a bit crazy to start with then you sure will be mind boggling insane after a few repairs. :shifty::shifty:

I've been waiting for that too!

This could very well become my new most favorite thread! Sure has potential. Definitely heading in the correct direction.

This sure is a tough crowd for a guy who titled his post "confused".

well in all fairness, the crowd didn't get tough until the first two people that offered the answers to the questions he asked(and even gave answers for the questions he didn't even know to ask yet) in the form of "here is exactly how I did it in case anyone needs to do it too" forum post, were given crap about how little they helped (and one of those guys being the same guy that wrote the freaking instructions!)(also its a safe bet to say one of those guys has also helped more people on this site(or at least this section of it) than every other member combined)...

I'm sure if he would have bother to read ANY of the information given to him in post #1, that he would be a lot less confused, or at least if he was still confused, he could have came back with what specifics he needed clearing up. but I'm pretty sure its a safe bet that even if he did click on the link provided, that there was no way he followed the first result nor read any of the plentiful information that was laid out in front of him.

he was even shown a simple and better way to search this site since the built in search function doesn't work well and he stated that he did a lot of searching and couldn't find what he was looking for...

I always say, If you wanna be spoon fed you don't get to say anything about what is on the spoon

And I'm still staying off that damn bike!

And, you're right. You guys have have helped, or attempted to help, most of the members with questions. Sometimes I feel as if I could build an LS in my sleep after reading all the responses to the questions asked.

Now, where's that damn bike, I need to kick it again!

Okay, I'll bite. How do you think we should have answered the request?

All joking aside, the information provided should have ended this thread.

Why he sought answers from others is beyond me. I do know, sometimes when we ask questions, we expect the answer to fit into a preconceived box. Kind of like we expect to be given an apple. But, someone hands us a banana. And, before we take the time to analyze why we got a banana, we respond with "where is the apple". Our search for information has created frustration that temporarily limits our ability to reason.

As usual, the information contained within the response was detailed and complete.

So, how do I think you should have answered the request? Just as you did. He will settle down and sort out his expectations and realize the answers are there. The failure was on his part, not yours. He'll see it, eventually.

Now, where is that damn bike? I need to kick it again.

Uhhh...

I had some of the popcorn...

Not been on the board because I spent the last week in the can...

Next time, please wash the truck out AFTER you haul the puking diarrhetic cattle,

and BEFORE you load the popcorn...

Actually the Popcorn load went on directly after that load of Tampons for King of Prussia, remember that one Telco, all them PA ladies so happy again (until next month)

Ironically, couple of weeks ago, I had 27K lbs of fireworks on, following week they send safety matches and lighters, I don't get it ... could have fitted those in with the fireworks!

This week, load of Isopropyl alcohol and some scary looking acids ... as long as I get paid, you can put cattle to popcorn on it, who cares really!

PS:
I don't load ... don't ever wait to get loaded, I pin up to pre-loaded trailers out of our regional yards, Drop & Hook, Turn & Burn, it's called "Pin to Pin" work, + "Dedicated Run" aka Linehaul = best part about this gig!

I have a problem catching on to sarcasm. I really hope you were practicing your craft with the fireworks bit.:)
