Conservatives vs. Liberals

I'm a liberal and I pay for my health care, plus that of several others who are in need of a little help.

And what does this prove? Oh right! simply another exception to the rule!

How many times can you cling to "exception to the rule!"?

Face it, everything you posted is nothing more than [silly] broad generalizations, attempting to smear. A few liberals wanting to ban guns, doesn't mean the majority of Liberals want to ban guns, et cetera et cetera et cetera

If a black man or Hispanic is conservative, they see themselves as independently successful.
Their liberal counterparts see themselves as victims in need of government protection.

This is not accurate, I am the liberal counterpart, I have never asked or gotten help from the government.

I can agree with the rest of them, but not this one.

Only if those generalization can be proved inaccurate can they be said to be true.

A generalization is not, by definition, false (as you seem to be assuming).

One cherry picked example does not show the claim to be false. You have to do better then that.

A few liberals wanting to ban guns, doesn't mean the majority of Liberals want to ban guns, et cetera et cetera et cetera

Liberals consistently proposing and/or imposing policies (at various levels) that put more and more restrictions on gun owning "a few liberals".

These claims are hardly based on the simply opinions of "a few liberals", but on the actions they consistently take that are based in ideological views, usually in the form of policies.

A liberal is one not limited to or by established, traditional, orthodox, or authoritarian attitudes, views or dogmas.

Restrictions on gun ownership are a long established tradition in the United State.

Thus, it is impossible for a liberal to be limited to that tradition.

In other words, it is logically impossible for a liberal to support traditional restrictions on gun ownership.

You need to improve your understanding of words, dude.

You also need to get a hair cut and go look for a real job.

A liberal is one not limited to or by established, traditional, orthodox, or authoritarian attitudes, views or dogmas.

That is an overly simplistic, inaccurate and self-serving definition. It ignores all ideological considerations which is funny because the term liberal is used to label someone who subscribes to a certain ideology.

You cannot simply "define" a liberal. It is something you have to explain and learn about. If you go to the dictionary to understand what a liberal is, you are going to be misinformed.

You are also ignoring the fact that this nation was founded by liberals! How does the fact that the Framers were liberals factor into your "logic"? How are liberals not limited to or by established traditions when those traditions are inherently liberal?

Dude, if you're not using a word according to it's most usual acceptation, you might want to inform your reader of the abnormal meaning you attach to it.

So why don't you have a problem with the Framers, like you do with just about everyone else you label a Liberal?

It is a little something called "context". Maybe you should look that word up in the dictionary.

While your at it, why don't you take the time and read at least an encylopedia entry or two on certain ideologies. Namely: liberalism, progressivism, socialism, conservatism. They are all relevant to the discussions here on this forum and are things that you have shown a gross ignorance on. Dude.

You don't need no stinking cyclopedias. You need to get a hair cut and go look for a real job.

I'm asking honestly- Do you really not know the answer to that question?

Research the history of liberalism as an ideology and of conservatism as an ideology. That should give you the answer...
