I am considering an LS...found an '04 V6, 13K miles for $19.9. Color is a pearl-like white w/ a black vinyl top. Fenders have crome trim.....this car is pretty sharp.....I think. I'm trying to decide if it looks unique and classy, or if it looks like a former "dealers" car bought at a impound auction :feedback . Anyway, does this sound like a decent price to you experts out there?

Another bit of advice I'm looking for. I live in MN. How does the LS handle in the snow? It has been years since I've owned a rear wheel drive. I will be using this car for often (20k miles per year)...sales job.

Am I barking up the right/wrong tree with an LS? Is the above a good deal? Any help and advice is greatly appreciated!

I have a V8 and had it for this past winter in Iowa and it did fine, better than I expected. Keep your traction control on and you will have no problem. I would suggest keep looking especially for one with out a vinyl top.

2nd his motion, I would also steer clear of the vinyl top.**

**This is just a opinion not to be taking seriously by anyone.

Why is everyone so against the vinyl top?

Why is everyone so against the vinyl top? Is this a matter of personal preference? Looks? LS "purists"? Or is it a matter of durability and fading?

just looks cheesy to me... something that belongs and looks better on a town car or wutever, not an LS

I'd say if you like it then get it. The LS wasn't really designed with the carriage tops in mind. It was suppose to be a totally different car than the Town Car and Continental.

It's totally a personal preference for me, I don't think the vinyl tops look good at all. Many people probably don't like aspects of my car but I do, so I'm with GreyGhost, if you like it get it.
