I am having an issue with car stuttering when trying to excellerate quickly as if passing someone. Above 2500 - 3000 rpm feels like engine is trying to cut out like when you rev above 3000 rpms in park. before I go and replace all kinds of parts trying to get the right one. is there a way to test the coils to see if one or more is bad. I did get the codes pulled and got a Knock sensor intermitent but not sure if thats because I have a possible bad coil. any help would be greatly appreciated. don't want to pull the intake manifold off just to change knock sensor if I don't have to. someone told me could possibly be IAC sensor. too many damn sensors.

Apparently the cost to test then is about the cost to replace them. It I'd advised you replace all at once anyways. Also replace spark plugs at same Time.

The IAC is not a sensor. It's a control valve. It's only really a factor at idle.
Lots and lots and lots of posts on here about replacing all the coils and spark plugs when something like this starts. Please read them and then do it.
BTW, the LS (like many cars) has a 3K RPM limiter in park or neutral. Even a perfectly running LS will act like it is missing if you try to rev it to 3K RPM in park.

I dont know why people insist on trying to test COP's. They will all go bad sooner than later. If you are trying to save money by testing your COP's just remember...YOU OWN A LINCOLN...NOT A HONDA. Lincolns arent cheap to maintain. If you want cheap maintenance, you bought the wrong car.

Like Joe said above, the cutting out while reving above 3000 RPM in park is your rev limiter. Its not a malfunction of any sort.
