First off im new to the website and im a new lincoln owner. I just bought a continental and the transmission shifts a lil hard out of first gear and rubberbands at 45 and 55. It has 178,000 miles on it and the fluid is pretty burnt. I have no ideal when it was last changed. I was wondering if i could change it without causing any problems with it. Secondly i have 2 air ride issues. I think i have a short somewhere because i can get into it and it will air up fine and then sometimes the check ride control will pop up around 10-15 seconds after i start the car and other times it will pop up as soon as i turn the key. One of the hoses also leak air right where it connects to the compressor. I need to fix all of these issues asap so if you could please help me out that would be great.

The trans flush might finish the trans off, but at 178k it might be about time anyway. If you really wanted it done i would have a ford dealer do a flush and filter for around 245. At least they will warranty their work.

alright thanks, any ideal where i could get the hoses for the air ride i just need to fix the 2 coming right out of the compressor
