Special thanks goes to the guys who broke into my car...

DSCN1712.gif

They even stole the radio bezel!

DSCN1711.gif

They smashed up the door panel and didn't even get the speaker...

DSCN1715.gif

as you can see, they just decided to rip apart my decking

DSCN1713.gif

They just ripped and pulled the rear seat untill they got through

DSCN1716.gif

They couldn't get the box out so they just took the subs out

This all happened while my car was at a garage getting looked at. The worst part was that it was all on video yet you can't even begin to try and make out who they were. They parked just out of sight of the camera and walked back and forth. Turns out that day before they closed shop one of the techs had taken out the battery (no alarm) because it was appearently bad. Unfortunately, no one seems to know who took out the battery and the cops won't investigate. I did finally get all the stereo replaced and i'm working with Jamie from florida to get everything back together. I'll post pictures once everything is in again.

No pun intended, but IMHO, that is an inside job.

Someone at that shop knows the responsible parties. They knew what they were after.

What a$$holes. Around here someone would be looking at the business end of a shotgun. Best of luck to you though, hope it comes back together for you soon and turns out great. And remember, what doesn't kill us only makes us stronger, or pisses us off worse.

yup, i completely agree... i just can't prove it... This is the same garage that had my car for 6 months because i told them i had another vehicle so they could take their time. They then ran the 6 month old fuel through the car and i've been having trouble ever since. I changed the spark plugs and fuel filter and just hoping not to have to change the fuel pump. The car is actually in their shop right now because they have to fix more things that they had screwed up. I'm on my 3rd altnerator and 2nd battery in 2 months. I really have no idea what's going on here...

What shop in Harrisburg did you have it at when this happened?? I want to make sure to avoid it like the plague. I live in York, and work in Camp Hill, so I sometimes get my cars serviced in Harrisburg.

Azzholes, just can't seem to respect anyone elses hard work. People like that should be tarred and feathered and publically humiliated. And anything and everything that they own or possess should be up for anyone to walk off with while they are forced to just stand there and watch.

That's pretty funny because i work in camp hill too. The garage is The tire mart. Normally i would have said great things about them. I love the owners and they're the nicest people i have ever met. The problem is you can't trust everyone you hire... Where in camp hill do you work? I'm right off of 15 at the slate hill exit.

1. Sounds like you need to find a new shop ASAP.
2. That's why I have factory stereos - they're so crappy nobody wants them! :D
3. That really sucks dude. I beieve thieves and child molesters should be publicly tortured to death - on video - for broadcast to everyone else who thinks it's a good idea.

I completely agree... if i would have some how caught them in the act i couldn't exactly promise i'd be civil. The worst part really was watching the 3hour video of them slowly ripping my car apart.

The battery was out so the trunk button didn't work... would have been so much less damage if this weren't the case...

I work at a Dr's office next to Holy Spirit..............

Haven't driven the Mark much lately. Trying to give her a much deserved rest until the upgrades get started. I am not familiar with the Tire Mart, and would not want to bad mouth them if things were beyond their control. And the chances of the Camp Hill police finding anything are slim to none. I am actually surprised that they can find their way to their cars. They are too busy ticketing people for taking shortcuts through residential areas to try to save gas. Sorry to hear about your bad luck. Hope that you catch the BA$TARD$. If you do and need someone cover your back, get ahold of me.

Sorry, They smile in your face all the time trying to take your place their back stabbers and buttom feeders. Hell yes, its inside job, Someone their at the shop knew what they wanted and how to go about getting it out of your car. That is while the battery was out of the car, go figure... I'm sure that the shop has property insurance... The shop must take care of your property while its in their care and its sounds like they just failed. Out of range of the camera? I would check with the police records to see if their is a pattern here and also I would press on for payment of damages even if its just small claims court.

Well they've already paid for everything... all $2600 worth of damages and stolen items. Also, i've heard of other people going through similar situations and the detective i was working with even mentioned whether or not i thought it was an inside job. The fact of the matter is that no matter what, you could not tell from the outside of the car that i had any of these items that they stole. This is the reason i don't play my music loud and i don't ever mention to anyone but very very close friends what i even have. I already have the new sound system equipment (it's nice to have a retail job on the side) and i am investing in one hell of an alarm.

How do you save gas by cutting through a parking lot?
Sounds like they are trying to beat a traffic light.

Remember the old joke, "Death by ugabuga", that would be a fitting end as long as they weren't into that.

I am so sorry to see that. I would seriously beat someone close to death. Really sorry man.

that alarm won't help you the next time a garage employee REMOVES YOUR BATTERY! :(:(

i remember seeing somwhere a "backup batt". it was small, like a lantern battery. and it fit up under the dash out of the way, to power the alarm if u left ur lights on or somthing.

back up battery will do any good. The guys had all the time in world to take his car apart. They would only damage the car worse to shut off the alarm anyway. besides that the insider obviosvly had time to look through his car.
Sorry hear what happened. It is good that the shop paid for it. At leased the are some what respectable. most shops would try to weasel out of it.

Well i don't plan on taking my car to the same garage again and if i ever do have to take it anywhere again, i'll ask that it be locked inside of the garage for the night. Plus i'm just getting the alarm because it'll be about 75% of the original price. (again, gotta love a second job at a retail store)
