Have you thought about using a PCB?


Not to critisize your work but I think if you took the lens apart and mounted the LEDs on a PCB and closed the thing back up it would look way better then having a few LEDs glued to the back of it.


Any good work on going where no one has yet to go.

I thought about a pcb briefly, but I would need to take the lens apart to do that, as well as paint the pcb white so it is not seen through the lens during the daytime. (The holes I drilled for the light to shine through blend well with the lens and can not be seen in daytime. ) As far as it looking any better being pcb mounted, I really don't see how it would look any different. The back would look a lot better, however once you install the bumper light all you see is the front.


Have you started yours yet jwerner? Are you going with amber or white LEDs?
