ok first off i type in tps in search nothing at all comes up?
there is no cel coming on when this happens.
i am having a problem with my 97 lsc sometimes missing ,cutting out or something like that, it only does it at regular throttle if i wot it has complete power, i have started it up a couple of times and it acts like it is flooded smoke comes out exhaust chugs bad, will usually come out of it after reving it up a few times , i have a brand new sears platinum deep cycle battery ( it was doing this before i changed battery, i have done the big three upgrade with 0 gauge wiring, amps seem ok on voltage meter.
where is the tps at for sure and how do i clean it? i have read seafoam used on here but where do i add that in at?
what else could be causing this problem?
it is sct tuned but i dont think this is causing the problem.
i also have an open conical kn cone , it should be getting plenty of air or wouldnt it be doing it at wot too then?
thanks in advance

when you search there are two different methods, the method you probably used was search for threads with tps in it, try the search for post, i know nothing of your problem sorry

ok i gotta ask.. does your CEL light come on when you key the car on.. as in, for the system checks??

what color is the smoke from exhaust?
how does car idle?

yes it does come on then , black, like its getting flooded and when its doing it, it idles very rough but this doesnt happen all the time.

have you checked fuel pressure?
black smoke is usually oil...have you checked plug tips for fouling?

not lately i need to pull them and look atthem again but it doesnt happen all the time maybe once a week for the bogging out starting it and about every other day for the missing chugging,

Very similar problem on my 94, bucking, shuddering, shaking, horribly underpowered - virtually undriveable.

Also only did this intermittently - it would act perfectly normal, then act up. Shift to "N", shut down, fire it up, back to "D", until it did it again.

Chased down all sorts of suggestions, finally gave up - replaced the computer.

No more issues.

Good luck.

ECU was last on my short list, next was check wires, then coils, then ECU...but since youre getting no codes, i would lean towards faulting ECU

where is the ecu ? look like? what can i do to fix that? is it cleanable or just buy a new one? sorry i sound like a newbie i dont know much about the electronic systems
